Propcycle could cause some people to puke just through pure motion sickness caused by the disparity between what's on the screen and what your innner ear is telling you.
I saw this compounded on the ferry to Vancouver island in stormy weather. Imagine trying to play this on a rocking, rolling boat.
How many times I've had another developer come to me saying "Dammit! I've been through this a million times and I JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY IT'S NOT WORKING!!!"
I then take a quick scan through the code and see the problem in a minute or two.
What makes you think they'll pay to have these on board every airliner?
I once had to keep company with a heroin addict for the final 6 hours of a 10 hour flight from Tokyo to Vancouver. The guy had gone nuts and done the whole air rage thing, almost taking out one of the flight attendants in the process.
Myself and a couple of Aussies managed to get him calmed down and I kept him under control by playing the understanding friend.
Because of this the plane was able to continue direct to Vancouer instead of diverting to Anchorage as the pilot was ready to do.
So what did JAL give me for saving them $50K-$100?
A mini-pocketwatch worth about $20 and a couple of bottles of wine.
Cheap bastards.
The funny thing about the whole situation was that the addict was caucasian and when he got out of control the flight attendants were running all over looking for white people to help. This on a 747 full of asians some of whome were a hell of a lot bigger than me. Go figure.
Haku's (boy on the right) shirt should be very white. The flowers and leaves in the garden are brilliant colours compared to the flat tones of this screen capture.

Take SMB for instance. The Samba project is working on Version 3.0 which will allow full integration with Active Directory. However, since a large part of this is authentication MS could use this provision to deny access to the API's that would make Samba completely compatible.
Microsoft can still restrict access, hide APIs and set up questionable business practices under the guise of protecting "security, anti-virus, licensing, authentication and Digital Rights"
Dammit! Beat me to it.
I was going to link: here.
Demo.
Ohhh, that's easy.
What is nice to see are some retailers like London Drugs are supporting the end users in the fight against the levy.
It could be though, that they realize that an increased levy would mean less people buying CD-R's, MP3 players etc....
It is a good thing it's lunchtime.
It is a good thing my door was closed.
It's a good thing I'd finished my coke.
An oldie but a goodie.

The reverse situation has also happened.
"I can tell from the tone of your voice,
Dave, that you're upset. Why don't you
take a stress pill and get some rest."
We could see it coming.
HERE!
Like this one.
Nope.
"Paku Paku" is Japanese onomatopoeia(of which they have a huge variety) for the sound of somebody munching on snacks.
(Like the "munch, munch, crunch crunch" you see in cartoons)
Don't tell me...
Long dark tunnel opening into light and feeling of well-being?

That looks like crap.

No, you need the Japanese who have some REALLY cool-looking trains.
And you can set your watch by their departures.
He's back!
He's mad!

Life saver when I was online from Japan.
Aren't these things supposed top lock once you take the "activation key" out of its slot?
Sounds like they're leaving the thing on with the key in the ignition.
You're showing your age.
Any kid doing that nowadays would be laughed off the street.
If people *want* to believe something, nothing they say or do can prove otherwise.
Of course, take all that stuff about a guy named Jesus and certain alcoholic beverages.
MS stock was $115 at peak.
At that time Bill's stock would be worth:
$71,415,000,000
He's lost half his fortune!!!
Poor Bill.

Microsoft will be able to hide APIs, protocols or whatever for various reasons related to security, DRM, authentication, etc.
Microsft is guilty.
Microsoft must play fair under set conditions.
