If that other notebook doesn't run Windows then yes. the EeeePC, Dell9, and many other netbooks with Linux options made it to the front page. It is only Windows notebooks that get ignored because they are frankly all the same. Apple has come up with some interesting things like their power adapter and now this case.
Simple Odds are the majority of the people of the US want this to be free of porn. It is public airwaves so the public can put what ever restrictions on it they want. They used to require each channel to provide x amount of educational content everyday. Now that rule is gone we have the infomercial instead of "Natural Gas and You" or Insight. I would like to see more regulation of the airwaves and not less but that is just my opinion.
I don't really see a lot of value or harm in this but maybe it will mean universal free internet access for things like car sat navs or maybe I could make a portable last.fm player.
Does ATI make any integrated graphics solutions that are not tied to the AMD bus? An Atom running on an Intel version of the 780G would be really handy for people building lower power systems. Of course I actually like AMD still. They make CPUs that are fast enough that are very cheap. Combine that with the 780G and you have a great low cost solution.
kind of but I don't think they are any less free. They just chose the freedom from harassment over the freedom to not follow rules. Hopefully they are rules that they intend to keep anyway.
It wouldn't be fair because he is right. The rf from a PC isn't a health issue it is an interference issue. Heck If I run with the side of my case off I get waves on my monitor and static on my speakers. Don't try to listen to an AM radio... Put an RF source inside a conductive grounded box and the problem is solved so yes confining the RF to the inside of the case DOES solve the problem.
Depends on what freedom you want. People at ACU may feel free to practice their religion without being harassed, challenged, or just anodyne. That is their choice. And that is freedom. If they don't like it they can always leave. I wouldn't like to go their but then I didn't go there.
You really should look back a few posts. I was saying that one of the things about Silverlight I don't like is everybody needs to download and install it while most people have Flash. I think you should make websites work for as many people as possible. Coding just for IE or Firefox is counter productive to that goal. Same as using Silverlight. Actually I code for Firefox then patch for IE usually.
Nope I am a coder and I do some work with the sales staff. I am just happy that OO could open a DOCX that I got with a list of tech questions. I would hope that OO had great compatibility with Word97 and if not I know Crossover office will run it. If you want to use Linux. The real answer is that they should take PDF unless they must modify the document.
Okay it is ACU? A private Christian University. I wouldn't have gone but I really would have checked to see just how strict they where before I went.I mean think about it, A small Christian University in the Bible Belt.
umm... It is a private university. If you don't like the rules don't go. Seems simple to me. That is their right and you have the right to not go their. You do not have the right to change their institution.
Oh it was about 20 years ago. Maybe it was just her. Very sweet girl and a good friend. So yes it was a long time ago and there could have been some miscommunication. Maybe it was that she was going out dancing at a club that served alcohol? The orginal post had nothing to do with dancing. I was posting that an application that would tell you who was sleeping with whom at ACU should be. a. Useless or b. a directory of married students. Of course I could be overly optimistic.
Well it has more to do with standards. I don't want to have anything I do on the internet tied to one OS, browser, or even software supplier. Flash is supported on more OS's and more browsers than Silverlight. Also I just can not trust microsoft to keep supporting anything but Windows. IE, Mediaplayer, and VBA for Office all show that Microsoft will not support anything but Windows. That isn't really politics it is just logic. The internet should be OS and Browser neutral.
I am sure they do. Obama makes Fox lots of money.
"hybrid gas/electric,"
Not exactly high tech or new. I suggest you look up Gato class submarine. Or the USS Holand http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Holland_(SS-1)
With a display port and the nVidia 9400m?

I really could use some contracting to be honest.
and scavengers...

Actually I have heard the latest drivers are actually pretty good
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=amd_rhd3300_790&num=1.
And the FOSS drivers are making a lot of progress.

Apple names their versions after cats and what chases cats?
So Windows CE/Mobile will be called Windows Poodle.
Windows 7 will be Windows Jackal.

Except that most people already have downloaded flash. Plus Flash is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and even the Wii.
You really should look back a few posts.

OpenOffice or run MS Word 97 under wine.
Nope
99% of our users already use IE. Why make them DOWNLOAD and install Firefox.
Which is how I do development. So nope it is actually the inverse.

Too bad applets got such a bad rap. They actually work very well now and are fast and powerful.
It is called Moonlight. http://www.mono-project.com/Moonlight
But I am not all that comfortable with it. I think that Microsoft has done enough that I just can not trust them with any "standards" any longer.
