Exactly, anyone who doesn't negotiate a price with Time Warner is a sap. I've got a friend who was paying $50/month more than me for LESS service before I clued him in on the fact that you can (and should) negotiate with them. And, yes, they will put up a fight. At first they'll try to deny they have any deals available, then they'll try to give you the shitty ones that keep you paying the same and just toss in some minor extras, then (usually somewhere around the 20-30 minute mark), they'll actually start offering you the *real* prices.

PS3's are probably on sale since the PS4's are coming out...

Oddly enough, they're not. The cheapest you're going to find one is still in the $250+ range. You could actually buy a Roku and Blu-ray player combo for cheaper these days. Or just buy a blu-ray player (most of them will stream video now).

  8. Re:Think outside the box. on "The Kissinger Cables": WikiLeaks Releases 1.7M Historical Records · · Score: 2

The government isn't that clever by a longshot. Besides, it could just as easily backfire and remind everyone of all the scummy tactics we were engaging in just 40 years ago (and encourage more people to ask if we're still engaging in them today--which, sadly, we probably are).

  9. Re:Kissinger on "The Kissinger Cables": WikiLeaks Releases 1.7M Historical Records · · Score: 2

We must support fascism to defeat fascism. Yep, that sounds about like the kind of thinking I would expect from Kissinger. It also helps explain why they they love us so much in Central and South America these days.

The idea might seem nice, in principle, but in fact it's just a pretty scam.

You're right, it's not for you. It's more of a Shelbyville idea.

Bad enough a brother gotta be called fat. Now he gotta break out a calculator to figure out what "fat" is in kilograms too.
