Why am I always left with the feeling that our government ignores (is not concerned with or aware of) what's going on in IT? Why do the news media not question them specifically about displaced IT workers? Why do we continue to import IT workers when our own citizens can't find jobs in IT?

Dual boot Win3.1 to play games, and Slack for everything else. Yeah, I was there. Brought back memories. There was some comm program I can't remember that I ran, was using it to log on to a BBS when I met the woman I'm married to. Back then when people said "the Internet" they were talking about Usenet. I don't remember the kernel version I started with but it was a 0.99 something. If you were going to run Linux back then you had to want to. But it was just as rewarding.

The article lists "poor animation" as one of six reasons that kids are watching less cartoons, but in my opinion it's more basic than that. They suck. Several years ago the producers started concentrating more on marketing toys than entertaining the kids and when less kids watched (and bought toys) they just increased the marketing until they left out the fun. Several years ago I tried to watch some cartoons with my kids. Except for the classics like Road Runner and Johnny Quest they suck.
