People with liberal view have to always accomodate to the wishes and whims of this vocal minority in issues as far ranging from nipples in a super bowl to abortion in third world countries. Liberal people don't take offense at the world view of these people, but have always to cowtow to the views of religious people, even if in many issues they are a minority.
I would personally find offensive that somebody would join this company in particular, and would consider it as an indication of a bad trait in character in a job interview (why would anybody want to join a company that has been as unethcial as this one?).
As a rule of thumb any person dealing with measurable events is thought that a margin of error of 10% is the maximum acceptable to consider something accurate enough for most purposes.
When scientists talk about something being probably true, they refer to this margins, not to 50%+1 scenario you are painting.
Your gloating about an inferior phone, your irrational passion for it and your unnecessary mention of the i-word make perfeclty clear that the original poster was dead right when refering to the phone as a boutique one.
iTunes does not protect the rights of the artist because you can get a clean non DRMed file of the music by different means. Oh yes, and because the "rights" of the artists are an artificial construct that contradicts reality (for hundreds of years musicians were happy to make a living composing and performing, no copyrights were necessary or they were very lose).
And as for the labels backing of from their unfriendly practices, this is questionable, they have continued their ill adviced lawsuits since the inception and relative popularity of iTunes.
