Haha, its a copy paste of the summary right there at the top, he just changed a few words, it added nothing. In fact he left out the hyperlinks so it's even less than the summary gave. But yes it was an attack at duplicate information presented as new.
Had the truck had the same sensing equipment that the shuttle has the accident would have been avoided.
If the shuttle had the same sensing equipment as the truck has the accident would have been avoided (ftfy). A human would have laid into the horn as the truck got closer to alert him hes about to hit someone. A human would also have seen the truck backing in and yielded a larger room for error. An alert human may also see the situation that they could quickly back up a bit before the truck hit them. (per article trucker was cited for illegal backing (up?). This isn't ready in my opinion, but a nice alpha test though.
Thing to remember about technology: It is always a moving target; something better always comes along; and the first to do it is almost never the one that becomes standard.
IMHO the problem with bitcoin is that it is way too dependent upon the underlying implementation. A lasting digital coin, which hasn't been made yet, will be more like a document format that can be supported by multiple underlying implementations. It also won't suffer from the increasing scarcity problem.
Bitcoin keeps surging because it is hard to create more by design. It's like having one pie and as people come to the table you have to keep dividing it into smaller pieces. A true money does not have this limitation, as people work they create more pieces of pie, using the bitcoin philosophy they just work to divide the existing pie. Eventually everyone winds up with crumbs.:)
The amazon marketplace has watered down the amazon brand for me. Searching for something is a pain with all the 'sponsored item' placements and third party marketplace results. Even when I find something sold by amazon, you have to check reviews to see if their inventory has been tainted by marketplace knockoffs and factory seconds. I figured if they want to be like ebay, I will use the genuine ebay, at least I know that the questionable item will come direct from the seller, and not accidentally be from some other knockoff seller.
Yes I can filter results to 'shipped and sold by amazon,' but why bother when it's faster to just start somewhere else.
If the power goes out on the space station - in SPACE, you need hard copies for emergency procedures.
If you lose cabin pressure - in SPACE, I'm sure a tablet will still work just fine. Good luck using the touch interface with those big fat SPACE GLOVES, you need hard copies for emergency procedures.
See where this is going? you need hard copies for emergency procedures IN SPACE.
Thank you. You just explained what this thing does in two lines, better than the summary or linked article. I'm having slashdot flashbacks of the good old days.
I would argue that the next frontier in Artificial Intelligence is actual Artificial Intelligence. All we have now are Algorithmic Interfaces, Algorithms...
Yes, you can do a top/task-manager/activity monitor to figure out what is going wrong, but even if you're that sophisticated, you often end up having to kill the entire process simply to stop one errant thread. This never works for unsophisticated users.
In chrome you can right click an empty part of the tab area (or shift+escape), and start the built in thread manager, it will show you what tabs/extensions/scripts are using with regard to cpu utilization and allows you to kill specific ones. But yea, most users won't even be able to do that.
Someone fell for the the wayland hype. Sure the new thing may be technically faster, but if X is that bad, it would have been dumped decades ago, yet its still here.
Share the code, share the bugs, and share the attack vectors.
In a round a bout way, I guess you are right. However in a world where there is a new exploit in a random third party package every day, its not looking too bad these days. Weren't both of their failures through known third party exploits?
Companies whose job is to secure the data of an entire nation should have an extreme case of NIH Syndrome. Sadly now its all copy-paste third party junk that no one can really trust.
Am I the only one that shakes my head every time I see this term used to describe a hacker/cracker/black hat that doesn't actually do research except to unlawfully break into other peoples stuff just to brag about it?
And to stay slightly on topic, this is just social engineering, not an OS flaw. Clickbait garbage.
Skimming the article, it looks like the country painted itself into a corner.

That's some nice copy and paste skills. Anonymous coward, you will fit right in with half the computer programmers out there.

rubber gasket
In my limited experience, they are usually called washers or o-rings. Gaskets usually don't involve moving parts so rarely fail.

It was introduced for the same basic reason anything else gets done: money. Nope I'm not jaded at all.

...when government subsidy is our best shot at an EV future.
Perhaps his business model should stop depending on free tax payer money.
They might not like what they see. Even if they do, they won't like how others look.
Build up one business scheme and get out before it falls, only to build up a similar business and get out before that falls. Rinse, repeat.
I believe this is very similar to some sort of ????? scheme, I just can't quite remember what it is called...

How '90s. How does AI fit into this again ?
Start by using a name that doesn't sound like it only offers low cost with just the basics.
I would argue that the next frontier in Artificial Intelligence is actual Artificial Intelligence. All we have now are Algorithmic Interfaces, Algorithms...
The headline describes nothing of what you mention. Unless that's how you see 'Miners'. :)
The association was made all by itself. It's really no ones fault, except the lowlifes that turn to whatever they can best hide behind the easiest.

Remember that said store is in the same situation as you. Cash is useless to them as well.

Comparing coding to language is an exercise in shortsightedness.

Except for an Office Depot addition, It's basically a dupe.
