About that, 10.04 Long Term Shagged regressed both the network and display drivers on one of my boxen. LTS may not mean what you think it means. It certainly doesn't mean what I'd like it to mean.
What makes you think a TSA Gate Rape is an "unreasonable" search?
Note: if you're not citing statute or Federal Court case law, and you don't happen to be a Federal Court Justice, then your opinion doesn't really matter, does it?
But I'm 100% sure that I'd prefer to live in a world where we don't give trillions to greenie scam artists in return for them telling us that they can fix that pesky human inclination to have kids and give them a decent standard of living.
We need to lose about 3 billion people, then keep the numbers down there until we get our eggs out of this basket. Anyone not engaged in trying to find a way to achieve that solution humanely is just profiting from the problem.
Oops, yes. At the very least, I can see Novell's new owners settling with SCO. As soon as it's out of court, the remains of SCO can start the shakedown racket again.
You get from a rounding error to "ZOMG ECSTRAGALTIC PLANNIT!!!ELEVEN" through a careful process of hyperbole and speculation, not elimination. This isn't science, it's marketing.
Quick note: if you have all those things, you tend to try to find uses for them. It's cheaper to drop obsolescent bombs on some dusty armpit than to decommission them.
Please to note that Sanjay in Mumbai will now claim to be Simon in Manchester. What's the weather like there, Simon? [Tap tap tap] It is partially overcast, with 40% chance of showers later.
You're a child molester. Also, a terrorist. By the way, hello! I haven't "worked with a lot of doctors", but I have studied with them. Show me the student and I will show you the raving callous egomaniac who views mere humans as ugly bags of mostly water . Most of their training is obsolete by the time they learn it, let alone when they put it into practice, so any confidence they have is based on ignorance, not knowledge. To be fair though, it's only about 95% of them that are callous egomaniacs: the other 5% can very nearly pass for humans.
I'm also seeing XP bitch slap Ubuntu all over the place, which does match the subjective experience of ripping XP off an EEE PC and putting on Ubuntu (9.10 then 10.04 and now 10.10, with Unity and the netbook cruft removed).
XP was, sadly, just snappier, and sadly is still probably a better choice for the majority of lusers.
As much as it was a cabal of ghoulish bodysnatchers with God complexes who thought they were above the law. You know, typical medics. 99.5% of them give the rest a bad name.
And I re-iterate my position: if criminal acts were performed, individuals should be prosecuted. If the relatives are going to sue anyone for anything (what? emotional distress?) then it should be the individuals, not the State. The State doesn't care if it has to rob Peter a bit more to hush up Paul.
The families involved should just sue the individuals who did it and ordered it to be done for damages.
Fixed that for you. Suing "the government" just results in our tax money being shuffled around a bit.
I'm not aware of a statutory bar to bringing a personal suit against a government employee in any UK jurisdiction, although obviously the State has deeper pockets to go after. If the situation is unclear, then it certainly needs tested.
But once a moderation gets put on a post, it tends to get more similar mods. Everyone loves to jump on a bandwagon, or kick a guy when he's down. Early modders don't just contribute, they steer the groupthink.
Do a version with a fuckton of armour and a faggy moustache, kick in the wrong door, and slaughter grandma in her bed with impunity: this thing is perfect for SWAT.
The law is against menacing, the statement -- made publicly, not directed at any given person -- is
"Crap! Robin Hood airport is closed. You've got a week and a bit to get your shit together otherwise I'm blowing the airport sky high!!"
Any sensible person can see there is no threat there, it's just someone being a drama queen. But it violates the letter of the law and it's politically expedient to ignore the obvious.
So you'd crack a joke about having a bomb in your luggage in front of a TSA official in a US airport
How does that follow? Note that the tweet in question was sent as a reply - these usually don't show up in your timeline. The airport lickspittle went out of his way to find it by doing a search for "Robin Hood airport" and was shocked - shocked! - to discover it.
Except, actually he wasn't. He didn't treat it as a threat, but reported it to his supervisor because zoze ver his orders. And his supervisor passed it on the police for the same reason. And they reported it to the CPS because, well, it was on their targets for the week. And the CPS had a budget to prosecute terrorists but couldn't find any, so went after Chambers instead. And the magistrates and now a grown up judge convicted because someone could have interpreted it as a threat. Note carefully: nobody actually did. Not the airport, the police, the CPS, or the judges. They all said that, well, someone else might have felt threatened. You know, maybe The Children.
Now, how is that any way like directly taunting a TSA goon with a bomb threat while actually in the airport?
Look out! I'm going to blow your strawman sky high!

How... virile of us.
If more astronomers were women, I expect we'd talk about enfolding another galaxy and gently persuading a planet to move in with us.
LEEEEEEEEEEEEROY JENNNNKINS!
Surely Wiv. Actually, that's UK Sarf East mongspeak for "with", so it's thematically consistent with "wii".

Those extra people who game now are - axiomatically - more casual gamers than the people who always gamed.
Casual gamers are less likely to finish games.
Wow, people get paid to analyse this sort of non-puzzle? I'm in the wrong job.
But who are people going to believe? Some warmonger spanner monkey grunt, or a random intartubes poster who feeds their liberal wrath?

Federal? State? Municipal? I doubt you even know which "here" you're talking about, or whether that's by statute or by case law.

I guess the lesson is: if you want to get a change made, don't be a whiny dick about it and throw your toys out of the pram when you don't get your own way on the first attempt. Bless.
If you don't sell them the tools to put you out of business, someone else will. Bonuses are all about the next quarter, not the next decade.

Bingo. Shaping up to be a $60 movie. Left, wait, up, wait, right, wait... on noes a Dragon!
Note that he's recommending that studios switch to making many small games. The model that works for a couple of guys doesn't work for EA.

When we make first contact with the Vulcans, I'm nominating you for ambassador. They don't get irony either.
