I went to pick up my friend from the buffalo airport, I live in canada, and about 10 minutes after I got over the boarder, up lifted my powerbooks lid, and checked on my map to see if it was right;)
evil weblog "DirectoryService: NetInfo connection failed for server 127.0.0.1/local."
"The solution was to restore the Netinfo database."
NO. the solution is to turn off "Net Info" in the Directory Access program located within/Applications/Utilities folder. If you are trying to athunticate to a non-existing netinfo daemon in your domain, your going to get problems.
Turning off that option relieves the problems hinted at in this link. Please sirs, try this instead of blowing away your net info database, When I first got my powerbook 12" I had this same problem. I realized later on that I clicked "Net Info" in the Directory Access program, and it was trying to auth to a non-existant server.
true story though.. I got a 1.3ghz, running windows xp when I copy over the network from my pb12" the winxp computer slows like a dog. 7200rpm maxtor in the xp 5200 rpm whatever in the 12".
I also loved FF8, howver, more of the story line. I first played it and gave up after the first cinematic fight. Then I picked it up a year and a half later, and used the game shark. Best few weeks of my life between work. It was a really long movie.
To quote the coward: This is absolutely reverse engineering. He took a finished product (a video driver) and took it apart to figure out how it worked and described it in a higher abstraction level.
You are, however, entirely correct in that this code is still legally tainted because it's a port of VIA's copyrighted binary code into a human-readable higher-level language. And the way to free the driver software would be to write a complete interface specification and have someone else implement it from that.
How does converting this to a Higher Level Language differnt from writing in a book what he's done?
If the author does not copy the code, yet learns from it, how does that differ from the auther reading about it in the book and learning from it?
Why? And what quark? 5? 6? Photoshop 7? 6? Is classic involved? If I can afford photoshop 7 and quark 6, I wouldn't be using a 12" powerbook. or I;'d have a 12" powerbook with a gig of ram.
I was on It, I think grade 7 to mid grade 8
I preach that "Think" because I don't remember.
I honestly don't remember much of those years except for lunch time with my friends.
How is that for a "don't do it to your kids".
I'm 20 now; I was around 13 at that time.
I think Palm OS's kerenel forbids multitasking because of licensing issues.

Trying to get to the top by the most indiscriminate way!
if we know what makes the glue, we can stop making ships out of "teflon" and start making them out of "anti-muscle-lon"
(Disclaimer: I know most ships are not made out of teflon. And by most, I have a lil frying pan in the sink right now..sailing away in the suds.)

Currently I boot 10.3 install, then I install 9.2.2, 10.1.5, 10.2.8 via an Automated ASR script.
Netbooting the 10.3 install and automating all of this, anyone have a detailed tutorial before I write one?
