No idea if this would really work, but why not give everyone two votes? A for vote and an against vote.
That way A gets 40% for but 60% against, and b and c each get 30% for and 20% against. Then figure it out between B and C who are obviously preferable over A according to the population. Or something like that.

    Try this
    A 40/60
    B 24/36
    C 16/4

A and B have equal ratios, but C is way ahead on ratio, but behind on actual vote. I'm sure there's other variations that would not work very well.

  9. I find it funny on Charter Cable Capping Usage Nationwide This Month · · Score: 3, Insightful

I find it funny that ISPs are switching to tiered plans while cell phone companies are switching to all you can eat plans. While I'm not a fan of tiered plans, I do prefer that they have clearly defined limits and consequences and the ability to check current usage. Currently, Charter does not, but then again this is a leak.

    Just don't make it Comcastic.

I don't have a problem with many distros that actually work on issues for a specific niche, but there are a lot that just put out different software packages. It's like if MS put out different Windows for people who preferred Notepad over Wordpad.

I've just gone with a base install of Debian now and add the window managers and software that I want.
