I ran for the longest time various 3rd party firmwares, bouncing from one to the other when one would get updated when it had features that I was looking for. But they all seem to introduce their own set of nasty bugs/gotchas even though they claim to fix bugs in the linksys version. Finally I got fed up with it all and went back to the normal linksys firmware that just works without all the added bloat that these 3rd party ones slap on top. I got tired of futzing with the router more than I was just letting it do its job.
You do realize your torrent download speed is proportional to your upload speed? I'm willing to bet you are getting 400KB not kb which is 3.2Mb. Yeah its not your 6Mbs that they say but your upload speed is probably only bad like all cable modem users. That would drag your torrent download speed down. A better test would be a huge file from microsoft, those things fly down.
I feel the same way about linear vs non-linear but Oblivion isn't that free form. Sure you can put off the main quest as long as you want, but at the same time the directions to finish quests makes it extremely easy to stay on track and not have a lot of just wandering around looking for that one thing to do.
If only bethesda would put as much time into making the game not crash as much as it does compared to how much time modders put into it I would go back to playing it.
I went up to the super target across from lakeline mall in cedar park. Their shelves were bare. There is another target at parmer and 35 but its a trek to get over there for me.
Actually Vonage isn't a very good company. It is run by a guy that has run companies into the ground, their management is horrible, they flat out admitted that they might NEVER be profitable and they aren't the cheapest kids on the block. The stock went down because of the above, its as simple as that.
So you would let it go to collections and screw up your credit rating for the next 7 years because you didn't bother to do your homework on participating in an IPO?
Everyone complaining about this are complete and total fucking morons.
None at my local target and walmart in Austin, TX. Target was completely out of old and new ds (which makes me think they had some earlier and sold out), walmart didn't have any lite but a ton of original ds.
If it ends up coming out at $199 and they can have it out before the holidays they will sell a ton. But they need to have enough for everyone to buy. At the $199 price point it will be a no brainer purchase for many folks.
From what I understand Gates isn't in charge of anything anymore, he's just the Chairman of the Board. Ballmer is the CEO and the voice for the company.
Exactly! Which the open source developers would know if they actually took responsibility for their open source work. Most of them don't. They do if for free and expect people to just "accept it" and then when people don't they pull out the whole "well its free" cop-out.

Actually people want software that works and someone to provide more support than "fix it yourself". Open source software sucks and the mentality of their developers sucks. They wouldn't last in a real company where they actually have to support the work they do. If you are going to do it for free then don't half-ass it, do it right the first time.
I'm tired of coming across something that won't compile correctly or encountering a bug. Then when you research it you come across 100 posts of people asking the same question and getting the same response of fix it yourself or do a search the answer is already here. You know what? I've got a job that pays money, I'm not about to waste my time trying to learn the code base for a one off project that looked interesting. 9 times out of 10 I'll move on. If the answer already exists why hasn't it been incorporated into the source? Or looking for documentation and the only thing that exists is:./Configure make make install
Thats BS. Thats the reason the majority of open source developers are assholes and they get the bad rap that they do, because they deserve it 100%.
If MS would just support the XBMC project instead of forcing people to use the MS one this wouldn't be a big deal to most people. I don't care about playing ripped games but I would love to have the XBMC running on a 360. It would do a much better job of upconversion and dvd playback.
Except you need to up it to the 1.83Ghz processor and add windows xp pro to make it equivelent. That puts the dell at 1048 and the apple at 1099. Like you said add a webcam for 25 and you are up to 1073. Ooo...a whole 20 bucks.
Yeah and the HP weighs 6.1lbs compared to 5.2lbs. The HP is also thicker. And people are really going to use those serial and parallel ports. That 56k modem sure will come in handy. Haven't used a phone line modem in about 8 years, but you never know. You'll just need to add so many peripherals to that so those pc card slots will get a work out. All of that makes it worth saving 50 bucks or so...
At $249 it becomes a "hmmm...I don't know. Whats the 360 running for?" At $199 it becomes a "I'll put some money aside this month and figure out which games I want and budget for it." At $150 it becomes "hell yeah, I'm buying it as soon as I see it, no big deal."
I don't see how they could charge $249 for it considering its not on the same level as the other 2 as far as a leap in technology.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2006--Rockstar Games, the universally-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO - News), is proud to announce Grand Theft Auto IV, the next-generation console debut of the genre-defining Grand Theft Auto franchise. Developed by world-class designers Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV will be simultaneously available for the PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360(TM) and is currently planned to be in stores in North America on October 16, 2007 and in Europe on October 19, 2007.
1. Its out yes, but the players are very glitchy and there are only a handfull of titles. 2. Not important, afterall you said you don't care about owning discs so why do you care if you can make a copy right now of them? 3. blu-ray has exactly the same capabilities. 4. xbox 360 doesn't have an hddvd player. They aren't region free, its just that the regions are wider.
The quality of downloadable ripped films is complete crap unless you get the iso's of the real dvd. But by the time you have downloaded it you could have rented, watched and returned it.
No one is "bullying" any consumer to do anything. Purchasing this stuff is completely voluntary.
Actually the point was that the rfid in a passport could determine you were an american citizen and those could be targeted for kidnapping or violence. My point was that you don't need a passport to tell who is an american when in a foreign city, we stand out and can be spotted without technology. You don't need to target multiple americans, you only need to hit a few of them. You are overthinking this too much. Terrorism isn't about pinpoint accuracy and specific targets its about maximize damage and creating fear. They wouldn't waste their time trying to hit 20 americans in one blast, they'll just take out an entire building no matter who is in it. They don't need rfid tags and scanners to do that.

Probably never or at least not anytime soon. SBC has a pretty major hold on this entire area in and around austin.

Why not just wait 2 weeks for a ds lite? Just curious.

I remember playing with one at a CES in Chicago many many years ago. It worked fine but our first question was, can we turn it off? It was just lame.
Hmmm...comparing a machine that's sole purpose is to play games vs. a machine that exists as a full fledged computer. Yeah thats a good comparison...

Its not like our passports hide the fact of who is an American and who isn't when in a foreign country. We stand out like sore thumbs.
A 42" widescreen tv is only the equivelent of a 34" 4:3 tv when viewing non-hidef stuff. I don't call that plenty big.
