you've got to be kidding me. yea, sometimes they treat you a shade better if you buy their psp/prp...

But dead pixels? Pffft...they'll brush you off for anything less than 3 pixels, service plan or not.

To me - that's unacceptable. Combine that with the fact that there is no way that they're going to let you inspect that product before purchase.

I know, I've worked in a total of 3 best buy stores (few years ago, thankfull - no more). If you have a store by you that contradicts the above - I'd be surprised if it continued for very long.

This is more akin to: If you your identity stolen, who do you go after - the Government or the guy that is running around ruining your credit?

That's right - you sue the Spyware maker - for they're the ones with malicious intent. (Well, MS isn't so innocent either I guess)

Sorry, but my definition doesn't really define gross negligence. Had they merely neglected to fix known security issues, it would be negligence. However, they made changes AFTER government certification. That's a little beyond negligence, that hints at malicious intent. After all, why would one make changes to a system after being certified - if not to compromise it in some way - then why? They obviously didnt make changes to improve or fix security - so where did their intentions lie?

nice try, but no. glad you're not my defense attorney.
