I have used Cinemanow for sometime now and must say I have never had buffering issues. I do prefer however the download over stream method they offer so maybe thats why.
As for movie selection, unfortunatly that the fault of the studio's for their poor licensing options.
If he posts the license and usage agreement he agreed to when he bought TiVo services and it says that TiVo agrees to allow you to burn PPV movies and watch NFL games that by law are forbidden to be broadcast in your area then yes it would be a bait and switch.
I bet the agreement gives them the full right to do what they are doing. All this "bait and switch" that you worry about I would bet is covered in the agreement that you agrred to when you bought their service.
Last time I checked a customer was someone you were doing business with. THey purchase something from you.

Just because a little fantasy and sci-fi is popular, don't think for a minute nerds are accepted into society.
25 years ago we had STAR WARS, WILLOW, etc. THey were hits for Nerds and non-nerds alike.
And today you have the same crap going on.
I felt embarrassed for about 25 people at the Matrix Revolution that wore their black leather and sunglasses and walked around like some freak-show. How about the Star Wars fans that dress up and go about the foolishness. LOTR has theirs too.
NERDS ARE STILL OUT THERE AND STILL MOCKED. The problem so many of you have to learn to deal with is YOU ARE NOT THE NERD YOU THINK YOU ARE!

For months as the Xbox approached you preached that it was an evil that M$ wanted to take over the gaming industry.
Then you decided they were geeky enough if you could install Linux (the Arch Competitor of Microsoft).
You bought hardware and claim it as your own, with Microsoft saying if you are going to use their services, you aree going to have to maintain their security.
Then you all act surprised like you can't believe Microsoft would actually fight to have their software remain intact.
What I find amazing is if you have OE installed and add outlook, if you try to access newsgroups it opens OE. The stupid thing is it then says "Outlook Express is not currently set as your default contacts manager, would you like to make it default now?"

When you realize that the lame questions asked were the results of the LAME MODS that modded UP the questions, you have to wonder HOW THE HELL did WE the Slashdot Community, ask Mr. Shatner, what it was like doing an "Interracial Kiss". Within the last 2 years, I have owed or heavily used all of the major Cellphone providers. Below is my thoughts on each. All companies SUCK if you go over your minutes! Oh and I travel about 40% of the time so I am basing it on Nationwide coverage.
Sprint PCS: This is my current provider and I plan to keep it that way. Yes there are occasional places where the service skips, but a quick call using their VOICE COMMAND customer service gives me a credit minute, and away I go. Not to mention most of those places get fixed if you report the location to a SPRINT STORE. Not the phone customer service, but the actual SPRINT PCS store. Overall coverage is good in major metro areas. Have some of the BEST PHONES, and I have found often times the PHONE is the problem over the coverage area. However the new network they have does get hit heavily in rush hour.
Cingular: Overall a decent company. I like the no extra charge for analog roam. I dislike their customer service. THeir Digital Network is a bit weak in the coverage area though based on how much I travel and see. Literally cross a street in Manhatten and lose coverage.
Verizon: I would never use them now because of the "Can you hear me now" commercials. However when I used them, I found some cities had EXCEPTIONAL COVERAGE, yet others had HORRIBLE. Atlanta for one was HORRIBLE coverage for them. Their Customer service is an absolute JOKE IMHO. All in all would be near the bottom of my list of preferred companies.
T Mobile: If you job requires connectivity, DO NOT USE THIS. Its great for some of the trinkits and features, however if you are traveling its a PAIN! When you lose a call its INSTA DROP, not the usual "you are breaking up" if you would hear static on another phone with TMOBILE you LOSE THE CALL. The customer is ALWAYS WRONG with them too.
Nextel: Hard one to comment on. If you are in a city and use alot of intra company minutes this is the way to go. However if you are traveling about, their ROAM network can KILL YOU, and you need a credit card with you to use it.
Bottom line is NONE of them are perfect. I think overall SPRINT is the best. However time will tell if that will remain. I personally take my phone in every 2 months for a software and network update. That has made alot of difference to my service and coverage area over the past year. Its a hassle but I DEPEND on my phone.

They said that Any Likeness, Statue, etc. was believed to House their spirit after death. Yet they presume these small ducts & Tunnels were used to allow their spirit its release into the afterlife.
Back to the Pully & Wheel problem, I am almost 100% certain that in the past they have uncovered Hyrogliphics that showed the stones being "rolled" by placing round logs at the front and "pulling it" over them replacing the front "Wheel" with the rear one as it was passed.
