Is it written somewhere in the OpenSource definition that thou shalt not make disparaging comments about the product?
It's just common sense. If your going to try to sell something that relies on a product, don't offend people that use it. Bite the hand and all that...
golden showers all around, this sounds like a what just happened to me. I installed 1.3 and though mozilla didn't stop responding, 2k rebooted when I closed it(moz) and all my bookmarks were reset. That said I didn't change any hardware, so I think you can rule that out. I'd never had that problem before with any version of mozilla.
I don't think it could hurt - what's the worst that could happen? They ask you to check your kernel config and tell you if you made an "obvious" mistake. I would just make sure this bug is still valid. I haven't tried the frame buffer @ high res since 2.5.58. I'll try again in a day or so just for kicks.
Is there a reason you are trying to get this to work? I like high res consoles too, but usually end up in X with two terms per desktop.
I think he's talking about the console frame buffers - shouldn't really make a difference whether you have X or not. in fact I did what you said and I still had the same problems miketang has(with both vesa and rivafb drivers).
Kinda - I run gtk2 and gnome2 apps with E but I don't let gnome take over the desktop, that way I don't have to deal with panels or icons. I load most of the apps I need after xinit and then just flip through desktops to get whatever app I need.
I could - and I have run vmware at work to get at word and visio docs.
It just seems like a HUGE workaround to have to emulate the win32 api or emulate an entire PC running windows in order to read a text file with tables and bullets.
so, what is a "normal" high speed internet user? if I stream from live 365 all day long is that normal? how about if i'm trading stocks with streaming quotes? now I'm sharing DVD/iMovies of my kids (or something applish) via IM...
think i went over 1GB - and i didn't even have to download a distro or my "not normal" buddies latest self produced audio tracks
caps are junk, charge per byte and allow some competition in!
or maybe it's because JSP allows their engineering and production staff to be *cleanly* separated. perhaps this is more hype but I've never seen an easy way to seperate the code from the format in PHP. JSP was built that way.
Honestly, you have no idea whether christ was angry or not. or whether any of that stuff is true or false or half true/false. all you have is an opinion about a 2000 yr old story.
I didn't try anything. I just assumed that their cvs server was actually up and running, and therefore from a terminal (which I wasn't in front of at the time) you can type in (assuming you have cvs installed):
ever heard of cvs? if you want the source to the *development* version... aka "beta" then use the source forge link to find their cvs server. it's right there under cvs. otherwise the source to the 1.4 version is with the rest of the tar files. I found all this in less than one minute by following the *open source* link right on the main page.
I sure didn't, since autonymity isn't a real word and the one I think he was looking for was anonymity. and anyway there are plenty of autonomic tools that are not used for villainous deeds.

I think it would be more like this.
"well officer, I trying to steal some cocaine, and I found out it was 50% sugar!"

yeah yeah they are huge. but it only took me about 5hours to compile gnome2 without patying strict attention.

I'm not sure that this should be classified as cosmetic surgery.
please explain.
You got that right!
Even at $212 for the Academic pricing, my family will NOT buy it.
It's too expensive. Period.

yeah clear to 'Matt' whoever that was. come on, get with it.
why don't you just call her a nympho then? same thing but slightly different spin... how about very affectionate? sound any better?
the world needs sluts. duh.
i thought you could define your own style sheets using galeon? maybe it's just mozilla though.
look for this file: userContent.css
or look here for a start

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.cdexos.sourceforge.net:/
follow this link and then you'll understand.
oh and sorry if I came off as being snide.
wish I could mod you up!

and they had Soul Calibur (I hear Soul Calibur 2 is out... any idea if they have that?
nope, but I can drop in and check it out for you
