The original release was rubbish, it wasn't unti 3.1 that windoze started to really work. And at that time it was still tagged as a 'graphical interface for MSDOS'
too many variables. If you choose a big name provider then there are more cell towers and lower power required by the phone, thus longer battery life, and put it into flight mode at night, or turn it off, for even longer battery life. No-one ever calls while you are asleep.:-) remove all but essential apps, except messaging and phone, turn off bluetooth and Wifi, and there you have a smartphone made dumb. You didn't mention a need for CDMA, 2G, 3G or 4G, which may limit your choices.
only a moron would include 'Unknown Code Words' and 'references to surveillance technologies and projects' in a resume. Seems to be over 27,000 of them.
Shut down the apps that you are not using or else the iPhone gets slower and slower. That's why there is a difference between older non multitasking phones and new ones. Double click the button and see how much crap is still running. Better than restarting every few days.
I'd say that 99 percent of the population won't change because they don't care about ES. They think more about colour change dresses than online privacy.
firstly, we are finally getting Netflix etc in Oz, although it won't be the same as in the USA. As for blocking sites, I guess that no-one is going to give up their VPN anytime soon.
although traditional watches may take a hit over the coming years, digital watches caused a stir, but analog mechanical watches still survive. The Swiss can't hold onto the market forever, and I think they lost it years ago. As for the Apple watch, daily recharge? cmon people, you can do better.
Are you saying that no one should collect data? ES has gone past the exposure of local collection and into a world which he judges is wrong but is a realistic function of government bodies, what is next? Can't read foreign newspapers or listen to local radios. As for the shill label, if that's your only comeback, you haven't given this whole issue much thought.
I also have cancer, leave those behind in as good a financial position as you can, point out the need to balance geek with old fashioned fun like sports or crafts, tell them not to sweat over the small stuff in life. Talk about you not being around and any plans that you are making, don't hide the fact that are going the die, sorry for being blunt, but that's the way that I have done it. Also, don't rely on technology, put stuff in a book that can be read any one at any future time, your grandkids will want to know about you too. Good luck mate.
while most people here are blaming the Government, remember that they acted on the advice of others, which have made themselves rich handing out crap advice. BTW, this current advice is still no reason to pig out on fried eggs and greasy bacon.:-)
I have to middle-click all day, the stock DELL mouse with raised scroll wheel/middle button does just fine. And you may be able to get a free one from a sys admin somewhere.
Show me your proof! Troll.
How much of your HDD can you actually use?
Just Canada? And the rest of the modern world...
sorry, my points ran out yesterday, bugger. How could it be labeled as Troll?
A special interest group rigging search results? Oh, gosh, how could this ever happen? OFFS.

The average smartphone will die in a day if you run FM radio, a real battery powered FM radio is the thing to have when things go to Sh!t

I can't see that these companies can be so valuable.

if it doesn't suit you, DON'T buy one. They currently list 6 laptops, 4 are the same price or cheaper.

not sure how packet injection breaks into my computer.
submit, earthlings, and I will rule you all as a benevolent dictator.

Sony makes great electronics, why dump them for some shitty console?

I thought they were selling a suspension mod for an electric car, tesla coils, silly me.
if enough people were serious about TOR, they would crash it while trying to avoid NSA.

Blu-Ray isn't even the majority of discs being sold, so how will another format compete?
