    It seems like in general, people tend to talk a lot louder on the cellphone than person vs person, and I think it's mostly that people are irritated by.

    Most users aren't powerusers. Everytime my mother or sister calls me I shiver in fear that something has gone wrong with their windows machines which they use for no other than stuff that linux could easily have done but which they continue to use because "that's what I'm used to". I swear, next time they ask me to reinstall I'm installing ubuntu.

    What I really like about kdevelop is that it can let me write my own makefiles and just carry on with editing etc.. still the debugger works just great etc.. kdevelop keeps from being in my way which I find very nice..

    well I live in sweden and think it sucks that we don't have the euro.

    the only reason seems to be the old farts that think they are too old for getting the euro. if sub 50-yearolds only were to vote about it a few years back I'm positive we'd have the euro by now.

    actually you can't run anything accelerated over RDP ... a friend of mine noticed this when he tred to connect to his home laptop to code some one a break and when he tried to run the thing to see if it worked (not the visuals as much as the executed code) it just crashed stating it couldn't open the display.

    sad.

    Someone should tell that to people like Peter Danowsky, the lawyer representing IFPI in the The Pirate Bay trial.

    He was quite... theatrical to say the least.

    Well maybe he had to do that so he didnd't looked like an idiot to the IFPI people.

    I'm a swede and have followed this case on the radio and I'm surprised they didn't have a stronger case in their basket, it's pretty much "you did wrong bo-ho now please be nice" and that won't work I'm sure. Not if our legal system "works".

    Don't get me wrong I'm a nerd and use the net for nerdy stuff most of the time (like hanging around this place). But I think e-commerce as in "stores on internet" is a real cool thing and I buy most of my stuff online these days.

    It's great to compare prices and to get a technical brochure instead of a clueless seller at the local shop.

    Tho I could never understand why ebay is so great, seems to me the prices are pretty steep for most stuff and I really hate that sniping thing (because I can't bother to babysit the stuff) :-/

    I'm working as a tile layer and sometimes I get really strange gifts from people that hires us to do a job.

    So this time I've got a plastic bag full of fish, really. He was a fisherman and had some cleaned out from the guts and everything. Totally sweet gift actually and the cat loved it too, but better than that I got to use that phrase. "So long and thanks for all the fish". Without him knowing the better :-D

    That was such a sweet day :D

    Because the gas has got too damn expensive, that's why.

    Same thing has happened here in sweden and it has only to do with cost of travel, nothing else. It still sucks going on the bus or the train.
