I fail to see how a pissed off user can be considered a Troll. I have a legitimate beef with the use of Flash and a beef with the requirement to FORCE an upgrade of a plugin. Can't you flash programmers customize the plugin upgrade message that pops up when I see your site? Let me know what I gain by upgrading a player. Let me know why you didn't build an app that degrades gracefully rather than requiring a different plugin.

I can understand advertisers and marketroids wanting to use flash for ads. It keeps the user from being able to close or end the blinking, flashing ad, unless of course you use Flashblocker like I do. If I actually want to view something that is in Flash, it requires an extra click. No problem.

In my corporate environment, there is a Flash plugin installed to IE and the box requires local admin rights to upgrade stuff like this or install new stuff like Firefox. If you are in a support position like I am, this is easy. If you are not, you must wait in line and may not get the upgrade. All of a sudden the thing I want to watch on my break must be viewed from home or I may forget about it.

Silly me, I thought it would take more than 5 minutes to attain orbit so you had time to go around and fix holes before everyone abandons ship. And we must have a crew member that will run amok and push someone off a cliff and try to sabotage the mission for his own survival. Your average astronaut SHOULD be able to splice together a radio from a scrapped mars rover and make a fubar old Russian probe launch his sorry ass directly back into the cargobay of his passing ship, using only duct tape, a dead robot battery and a little unused rocket fuel poured from an ore container. First off, Nessus is not an app that a beginning user should be setting up on his desktop of all things. It is a network sniffer. If you need to use it, you should know what you are doing with a basic Linux system first and that includes CLI stuff. They don't, AFAIK, package it, because they aren't interested in what flavor of Linux you run it on. That said, some Live CDs come with it and other networking tools preinstalled. Did you ever think about using one of those? I'm not suggesting you change distros wholesale, but use what is appropriate for the project.

So, back to your distrobution of choice, Fedora. I would say that if you wanted to install any app on it, you would ask a question in the appropriate forum section at the Nessus or other software support site first, specify your distro and wait for an answer. You could also go to the support site for your distro and ask in the software forum, doing a search of both forums for an answer before actually posting.

You should also post your address and phone number at the top for visitors/babysitters/relatives who may have to call for emergencies. This would be a "best practice" for all phone users, voip or not.

Unless or until VOIP, SIP, Skype systems are able to route to 911 service, then they have a major limitation and are possibly a danger to the average user. If public safety is in question, the 911 system should be opened up to all comers.
