    Pixar ... formerly steve job's other company don't run macs ? You might want to check that again.

    I've seen movie companies use clusters of Linux boxes to handle rendering, because there's no per computer license hassles presumably, but Mac's are used a lot where actual hands-on design work is being done.

    Yes - oddly enough the law allows you 50lbs without any particular storage or licensing requirements provided that you intend to use it for a gun of some kind.

    did you read the part where it said the verdict would be set aside because of bad jury instructions ... if the jury gave the wrong answer because they were asked the wrong question it should be set aside.

    The position of the bonus squares forms part of the rules of the game (even if not seperately enumerated on a sheet of paper headed rules) and is therefore not subject to copyright. Artwork is basically what can be protected.

    Quite ... I was absolutely stunned by the statement of Scalia that "The saddest part" was that the government would have to prove the need to hold each and every person. Has this guy even read the constitution he's sworn to uphold ??

    Nobody's asking for him to know how a computer works, but merely that he has the ability to use one. So your question would have been better written has "What percentage of people actually know how to use a telephone?".

    I believe this has already been tried ... the record industry can't use downloading by themselves or their agents to establish infringement because you cant infringe your own copyright - it's a legal impossibility.

    This is what necessitates the "making available theory"

    Here I believe obscene means having to pay for wireless spectrum that you're required to provide a free service on.

    Of course the FCC is still scratching its head over why they couldn't get anybody to bid on spectrum that was dedicated for public safety use.

    Anybody else think the FCC has lost the plot ?

    Same in Washington State USA ... Age of consent for most situations is 16 - however taking pictures of or having indecent conversations with a person under 18 could well land you in jail.

    That's it, it all makes sense now - the reason law enforcement runs around arresting students for bringing LEDs to airports and such is not because they're dumb but because actual knowledge of how terrorists work would threaten national security, so they just have to guess.

    Not really because the first months play is included with the purchased game. This is in addition to any trial period you may have obtained when you installed the software.
