  1. How is this any different... on Anti-piracy Vigilantes Tracking P2P Users · · Score: 1

How is this any different than any other spyware program? Bonzi Buddy, Morpheus, KaZaa, etc, etc, contain reporting spyware. How is this any different?

So it doesn't have terms and agreements. Big deal. If they added Terms and Agreements that said it was not a valid crack but indeed may report minor PC information would it make it ok? I think it's a rather interesting idea.

Once again, what makes this any different than other hidden spyware applications?

I second that!!! I got my $21,000 t-shirt and coffee mug from ITT in 1995,

You got a coffee mug?! Dang, I got ripped. Honestly though, I didn't learn jack at ITT. I was working a tech support job as a grunt and going to school. When I graduated I had 2 years job experience and a 2 year degree. Luckily I had an intelligent program chair that took the time to listen to students complaints and try to make the school better. It's also about learning on your own. You can't go to school and expect to be taught everything.

I'm now an IT Director at a tier two automotive manufacturer and doing pretty good. Still no thanks to ITT and its $30,000 price tag.

I will say one thing about ITT. We had some sweet LAN parties there...

Have a little respect. Doom is still an awesome game. Go download the Doomsday Engine and try to remember how great of a game that it is. I would venture to say that most FPSers wouldn't even be around if it wasn't for Doom. It's still a fun multiplayer game as coop (which most games lack now) or DM, especially with improved network code.

  9. MrGrey on Naming Your Character In RPGs? · · Score: 1

I always use MrGrey if I can. This goes back to quake2 when I was invited to join the Reservior Dogs clan, and of course, no one was allowed to be MrBlack, and I surely didn't want to be MrPink. (come on, every adolescent teen joins a clan right?)

So now when I play RPG's I stick with the name I had used for so long.

    Other names I use are
    Mithrandil (Hobbit/LOTR references)
Liam (Just a good Irish name)
Nimrod (Nimrod is Biblical, check out Genesis - he was a great hunter in the site of the Lord)

The scary thing about online names, is that the more you play games with people, the less they use your real name. I can't remember the last time someone called me by my real name at a LAN party. Most of the time they don't even use my real name when we aren't online or at a LAN party.
