I just got a brand new Toshiba laptop 2 months ago(not even paid off yet). Other then the Winmodem I like it. The floppy drive seems to work in linux fine. But I dont remember ever using it in windows.
So where is my cut of this lawsuite? Isnt this one of them class action ones? I was in one of those agenst PackardBell and I didnt see $1 of what the fucking lawyers got.
fsck can take a wile with just 4 1.7 gig drives. But since it never crashes I dont see that much. fsck is nothing compaired to what it takes that box (URL at top of post) to recompile. No 4.8BogoMips isnt THAT slow:)
That costs money, money they want to save. Im betting they are just gona make their own little AOL-OS or something. Or maybe GW2K will port AmigaOS...hehe
I have one of them all-in-one-no-name cheap mobo's and it has SiS chipset and and SiS vid chip. Both work fine with Linux and the newest X. Winmodems? Who needs them when there are cablemodems and DSL:)
and use the RECORD sound head. Put that head up to the sound pick up head on your VCR, hook the wires on the record head to your sound output and you sould be all set. The only hard part is getting something to output the sound down to the size of an VHS tape:)
Slashdot would never set that up because they need the money from the ADs. And if some guy just hacked something up and threw it on his own server for all us to use then i think Slashdot would sue. I could be wrong.

It really pisses me off how a small few think they can change the way we think just to "Save the Children". Why the hell does the govmt think they have the right to do this? This system will only hurt freedom of speach, and if it does get put in to place then i hope it fails and people find out ways to fuck it up.
So everyone running a server needs to get a license to be safe? Whats to keep a cracker from getting a license? If he did he would own the internet, all those 1000's of unlicensed systems out there would be open to him.
And who would get the license fee? You? The US Govmt?
Well if you dont like using linux/unix then dont use it. No one is making you. Linux != MacOS. There is no reson why we should change or "dumb" down Linux. Who the hell cares if 90% of the PC's run Linux? I want an OS that doesnt "SUCK", not one that everyone else uses. I couldnt care less! If you want a point and click OS use MacOS, not Linux. But for some dumb reson alot of linux people feel we need to make Linux a one size fits all OS. We are giving up speed and relibilaty for eye candy. Some linux users cant install a program if it doesnt come in an RPM, guess reading the INSTALL/README and typing 'make' is to hard. Atleast there is Free/Open/NetBSD, it looks like they havent lost their way (yet).:)

They must be loggin all the packets. So be sure to use your best tricks so MS can learn them! They say right on the website that MS fixed some parts of NT...so they arnt even running a NT install that you or I could buy. Next week they will put the Linux box outside the f/w and put a username and root password in the issue.net. Screw them.
MS and AOL (Netscape) are in on this? Then I guess when IE 7 and Netscape 6.66 come out they wont view anything that isnt "rated". Screw them, lets just make a new "Internet". I got a shit load of cable and a linux box we can use as a root DNS server.:)
Just go down to radio shack and ask for the little FM transmiter for diskmens. It plugs into the line out on the CD player and transmits to a car radio.
Just plug this thing into the Line out on your sound card and you can transmit to the normal FM band.
I have had load avrg's of 8.0+. So does that mean im usinf 800% of my CPU? I sure as hell dont know. BUT i think a load avg of 100.0 = 100% of the CPU and RAM is used...and the computer stops doing anything.
