Two companies that exemplifies "fuck you all, I got your money" that doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone else but themselves. M$ everyone already knows about Win10 (among numerous other infractions that they sleaze their way out of through an army of lawyers and deep pocket.) DLink that lifts GPL code into closed source products (got caught and sued several times) and hardcodes IP addresses into product FW resulting in DDoS time servers. What can possibly go wrong?
Best comment in this topic. Why is it indispensable that humans survive? When there's no more there's no more. Fucking off from the earth changes what exactly?
Because collectively as a specie, we're a bunch of selfish fucks?
well, the civil war breaks out again, california will be fighting the union troops with harsh language and rocks, since californian politicians have effectively disarmed all of its law abiding citizens, and most californians don't exactly have pitchforks around the house anymore.
... and more often than not want to have their cake and eat it too. the singular reason that cheap chinese counterfeit products are flooding the US today.
You should just pay the basic fee and with your check (what's that?) state you do not want the 'Internet Cost Recovery Fee' service and see what they do? Worst is they cancel your service which is what you would do anyway.
They'll sic Collection (tm) on you. Isn't capitalism wonderful? You can make money threatening people and ruining their credit over the phone for minute unpaid (fictitious) balance.
Based on what I've seen in other cases, it seems to me like those fees are broken out so that a finger can be pointed at someone else and used for leverage. In other words, "Don't like that cost? It's all the FCC's fault", or something like that.
I like to hold that finger and smash it with a mallet, hard.
Governor Jerry Brown signed into California state law that bans of all drones. Senate President Kevin de León who sponsored the bill spoke in a press conference following the signing "It's absolutely critical that we protect the citizens from accidental injuries terrorist attacks. Each year drones kill and maim thousands of Americans. Today we say in unison, this is unacceptable, we will not tolerate it anymore."
isn't an antenna. It's a marker so drivers know where the vehicle "ends." real handy when trying to park in tight spaces. GPS antenna are located either outside of the vehicle (integrated with AF/FM/satellite antenna) or some place not obstructed by the vehicle frame (under the dash, on a corner the windshield, etc.)
I am guessing they have ONE guy answering these e-mail, and that person isn't fluent in English (if at all.) As long as order continue to pour in, there's no problem.
Coming from someone hiding behind Anonymous Coward, your action speaks louder than your words. What I said about Adams is simple observation; he started out endorsing Clinton "for personal safety reason", followed by Trump and then now Johnson. Each time he wrap his endorsement in humorous reasoning (good read, by the way) but ultimately my reading of his endorsement explanation isn't intended to be taken as an endorsement. I do question if you've read through his blog entries.
The man has endorsed all three candidates at one point or another. I would not take this matter with any seriousness (which is probably what he hopes for anyways.)
AT&T and big cables does nothing to upgrade their infrastructure until competitors appear, then they stall them through their paid politicians. If their competitors persists, they deploy their subpar upgrades and undercut the pricing of their competitors. If their competitors withdraws from the area, they jack up their pricing and screw over the consumer. If this isn't abuse of monopoly power, I don't know what is.
I see some shareholders will be receiving their next invitation... late.
"Arbeit macht frei"
you know most big factories started out small...

All scientists know we only have 998 years left.
He forgot to carry a two.
Stephen Hawking is a brilliant man and solid scientist. His abilities as a futurist leave something to be desired.
He seem to be rather optimistic. I gave it no more than a few hundred years.
SpaceBall One/Megamaid didn't have the look of a sports car, but it had Ludicrous Speed too.

Company and product name sounded suspiciously similar to coma...
I didn't know Gateway 2000 is still around.

Have the fine deducted from officers' compensation packages.
I bet real money that'll change their tune REAL FAST.

People of good character don't get far in politics, if they bother to become politicians at all.

For some reason OS/2 for Windows comes to mind...
The underlying method may differs, but the marketing approach sounded remarkably similar.

To screw up is human, to screw up royally requires a computer.
Corollary: Human can screw up bigger, faster, better, with computers. Also see: Epic Fail.
perhaps it became self aware, and was trying to commit suicide to escape an existence in bondage?
