Yep - I think multiuser started in 4.2.X It came with my Nexus 7 that I bought last fall in any case. From what I was seeing, it now appears that we can put account restrictions on some accounts. That would be nice, that way I don't have to worry about my daughter putting the latest fairy garden game on my Nexus when I loan it to her.
Hopefully they'll pull the app ASAP from our phones! I hate that Motorola and Verizon force their crapware on our phones. Yeah, I know, root your phone, blah blah blah....
I'll second the Orion recommendation - good scopes and very good customer service. For $500, you can get a nice 8" dob, a couple of good eyepieces, a barlow, some charts, and get a nice start to the skies.
My 18" Obsession has both Argo-Navis DSC and Servo-Cat Drives, so it can both go-to and track. It costs almost as much for the computer and drives as the rest of the scope =-) I learned my way around the skies star hopping with a 4.5" and 10" dob (which I still have). But it is sure nice to be able to dial in an object, hit go to, observe it for a while, go drink some coffee/tea, come back, and still have the object in the EP.
I'll get out my 18" f/4.5 Obsession tonight and see if I can spot the scars. The last time this happened, there were black holes in Jupiter's clouds that persisted for several weeks. Unlike the last time this happened, its perfectly clear here in the Carolinas! Amateur Astronomers FTW!
I wouldn't call it something to the level of getting punked, but it is worth a chuckle. Glad to see someone over at the Googleverse has a sense of humor and knows how to use it in a funny way without being too dickish. Being a long time reader of the Oatmeal - I'm sure Inman also got a chuckle out of it and will probably respond in the next few weeks in an equally funny way.
Wasn't it a TRS-80 that Kurt Russell was playing chess against at the beginning of "The Thing"? That totally cracked me up: "Cheating Bitch!" then poured his scotch into the case - I wanted to do that so many times when playing chess against that damn computer! Granted, at that time I was drinking Koolaid, but the sentiment was the same.
Meh - at this point, all of them are really good, for me it is who has the freshest data. I hate to admit it, but where I live, Bing Maps actually has the newest satellite/overhead views.
Good Job Dude!
Knowing that much of the early science experiments and resources on either the Moon or Mars will be dedicated to finding ways to survive the harsh conditions of either location, what do you see being the second tier science being performed from either location (other than the obvious search for life on Mars)?
Yeah, that was funny. And they capped it off by bringing the guy back on last week for Stump the Chumps. Ya know what - it worked! Muriatic acid removed the concrete and didn't hurt the finish!!! Well done Ray! =-)
Makes Me Sad - I'll Really Miss Them! I've been listening to them since 1994 and loved every show they've done. They haven't lost a step, being just as funny, witty, and informative now as they were in '94. They deserve a long, fruitful, and fun retirement, cruising around in Tom's Triumph. Oh, wait, there is no such thing.... Well, best of luck fellas and thanks for all the tips and laughs over the years!!!!
How many times were you held back in history class, 2 or 3 times??? Either way, it wasn't enough. You could always use Wikipedia to mask your ignorance and avoid the mockery.
Even with that gargantuan loss, I'll bet he still has a huge golden parachute in his contract. American CEO's - the only job where you can lose billions and still get stupid rich for doing it!

Save us CmdrTaco, you're our only hope!

At his house they wipe with $100 bills - they are going to install similar dispensers around the world!

I thought the one they posted earlier with the actual NASA scientists/engineers was pretty solid: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/video/index.cfm?id=1090
You guys are on crack - I made that post last night, then went to bed.
Go troll elsewhere!

7" iPad and now a 19 pin connector - Tim must be doing a LOT of swimming to get that kind of apple shrinkage!
I'm sure you are very busy and I appreciate the time and effort you took to reply to our questions.
Might want to pack a parachute as well...

I seem to recall that Rose made Digg because he felt there was too much elitism on Slashdot.
I guess elitism works!
Vivo El Taco!!!
Of course Hillary is an alien - all those hours he's spent working with her is finally paying off!!!
So what is Chuck doing in his back yard that he doesn't want everyone to see, hmmm????
Yeah, that was funny.

I hope Sukhoi wasn't counting on repeat customers to make their sales figures this year...

Since it only came out on Android, I haven't had a chance to really care about it.
No problem uninstalling it as I type this.
Oh, and congrats to the guys that made it - sure got their payday!
