    The economy may recover eventually in spite of the efforts of the Obama administration, but their continued "help" will not be as useful as the liberals suppose.

    The joke's on you. The economy will get better on Obama's watch. Conservatives will say in spite of his policies, liberals will say because of them. Won't matter, though. Happened on his watch and he will largely get the credit and Republicans will have, once again, whined themselves into irrelevance for a few decades. Thanks, Dubya!

    Our corporation has now cut our productivity by 75% in the last 5 years due to SOX related procedural changes. It takes 45 days to put a 1 line code change into practice.

    For the record, I worked at a place where we could release SOX-compliant changes within an hour of the need arising. However, our normal release cycle was weekly and we passed all of our SOX audits. If your company's productivity has declined 75%, don't blame SOX.

    The book is not a study, it is trying to teach refactoring concepts with the idea that you can take and apply them to any SQL project. Surely you can figure out how to apply an Oracle or MySQL example to PostgreSQL, yes?
