    WestVirginia be damned. I really think PA holds the redneck ethos. I hate this fucking state so bad. There's NOTHING to do here. Maybe thats why old people like to live here.

    I can't even leave the forsaken state. I'm stuck living in a house built in the 1600's, with $100,000 debt and a degree from Carnegie Mellon! Fuck the whole idea of an educated poor. Education just makes you more poor.

    I was working on making robots to do crime... I first thought of using battlebots to steal jewlery... Then I figured a much more amusing way would be to make a robot that stole people's wallets on the street.. Call it mug bot...

    But now you can have drug dealing bot... It would be like a mobile vending machine that sold illegal drugs.

    It has two positives:
    1) Not succeptable to gang influence so it can sell drugs like pacman.
    2) like all robots, its tough to lay blame on the true make of the robot :)

    People in hospitals want to feel like they entered the pinnacle of human research and are getting the best of treatment. Having a robot around just adds to this.

    Its amazingly simple to write...

    Just database some 3d helicopter and airplane images. You can get these by filming planes overhead :)

    Then apply some masks and filters for edge detection.

    You can then "lock on". Next have the computer program try and center the camera by controlling the missle thrust.(maybe have some extra cameras for more range of vision and a 3d modeling program to try and find the target again - And Some electronic counter measure for not shooting yourself down LOL)

    I'm more into writing the likes of Hal and C3PO now(a million extra geniuses on the planet should help medical research out some) :)

    And they don't even say how they do it. They just say a system to achieve a goal.

    I should go patent a system by using a computer that solves NP complete problems. Then if anyone solves NP problems and tries to make money, I can sue them because I said I patented it a long time ago :)

    2500-3000ish he has the horizon set up perfect so they almost blend.

    Driving across the US takes days... But that web site took me less than 10 minutes to rapid click through.

    They need to make some mach 30 travel device. Get from one end of the US to the other in 10 minutes.

    Then they switched over to NT because the gamers angered people.

    Its a computer cluster not a library. People are just mad to see people having worlds of fun, while they're stuck writing a paper. Little do these paper writing people know thats the only fun CS people have :)

    And a community too, I really miss that little time I had playing computer games around the cluster.

    I'd love to see the answer to the question.

    It would also answer things like:

    Can a scientist share his secret with everyone, yet keep funding.. Instead of holding somethings back and selling a product.

    Can pharmasutical companies come up with a cure(which doesn't make money) instead of selling drugs(extra treatment = extra money)

    And would help understanding copywright problems...

    Please someone answer this. Everyone wants to know the answer.

    AI is the broad term of using a computer to solve problems... Mainly they deal with stuff that has robotic flavor: computer vision and pathing. I wish people would get their act together, and just make an all encompassing true AI.

    Get computer visioning to determine what object its looking at.

    Use a 3d world to enhance this, and draw contextual clues.

    Use a zork like vocabulary to do actions in its imaginary world.

    Its so simple, but would take a long time to piece together...

    But so far, I can't understand Microsoft's DirectX SDK, and I can't compile Crystal Space for DJGPP. With being poor and depressed its hard to stay focused on things that will revolutionize the world though.

    OMG, I went off on a hysterical rant about how bad Visual C++ sucks.... I loaded a bitmap, but there is no way to get a pixel from the bitmap with visual C++. If you look at the documentation on MSDN:
    We are no longer supporting 6.0 because we're moving on to .net.

    COME THE FUCK ON, its the year 2002, there should be a function that gets a pixel from a bitmap without having to update.

    I have a documentary of a full 20 hours of me trying to just get a damn pixel before I switched back to coding in DJGPP c/c++

    Many new games simply lack depth, but have stunning graphics.

    EA sports games have come a long way, but your standard adventure game just turned into point and click since Myst.

    Doom and Dune2 were just new genre cutters... But everything since seems like Street Fighter 2 turbo galactic ass monkey version alpha.

    Its not nostalgia, there were more possibilities for fun to choose from back in the day when corporations weren't needed to do the art overhead. Its sad, and you won't see me with a job either even though I'm one of the most die hard video game designers.

    I almost clicked yes because they switched them around. Apple is stretching on gimmicks in every way imaginable. I never liked apple because their products were always inferior to PC.
