    Ok, imagine a system where you have infinate surveillance... Via cameras networked to a computer.

    You want to launch an artillery shell to point X,Y... You have one gun, you just shoot it, and target destroyed.

    Now imagine you want to shootdown jets... You can't be guaranteed a hit because the pilot can dodge... With balloons, you could have a shell closer to the intended target, and then the pilot has less chance to dodge...

    So you have survellance and a kill system all in one. I'm sure they're not deploying a kill system with this, but its easy to understand.

    He says that speaking is more difficult, because it uses brain power... What if that is part of the brain power is what helps you make ideas? I know people who talk to themselves when doing tasks, and I know people who like to talk to hear themselves speak(ie focus their ideas). I can see myself using my eyes to watch something on screen, and discussing with the AI how I want something.

    I do know speech recognition is one component of AI's sensors... It doesn't have to be the only, nor does it need to exist..

    It is nice to have both speech and vision in the same system.

    I'm poised to jump on the next FPS.

    I designed a few revolutionary FPS.(not developed)
    1 is based on a huge world with random terrain and major bases that give resources and points... So you're scouring a devastated world in search of power...

    The other is an RTS crossed with a FPS where you build an army from your bunker, and their AI (which u develop or download) fights along side you... While you try and nix your opponent's bunker.

    I called up asking why my ebay account was banned because I was selling a macro package for Asheron's Call.

    Aparently people were using it on Everquest, and Verant got me banned from ebay because of it.

    Microsoft and Turbine could care less about macros in their games...

    Yet I call up Everquest, informing them that I was evicted from my house because I couldn't pay the rent due to the banning from ebay, and I'm told that I got what I deserved because I was doing illegal actions.

    Hell, if I wanted to do illegal actions vs Verant, I'd just take my .45 and sawed off for a home invasion... Which I was close to doing. If it wasn't for my illusion of a girlfriend(found out the bitch was cheating on me later), I would probably have done it for fucks sake.

    Right now, I'm working on a 3d imagination space for a computer. It stores everything it knows about the world in physics rules, nouns and verbs. Then you type in a book, and it imagines the setting for you in 3d.

    I seriously can't wait to see Treasure Island and Moby Dick :) But I need to wait a few years til I finish.

    Things are bad, everywhere. I couldn't find a job, so I talk with my advisors at CMU and many grads there can't find jobs either. You can cut people's pay because there is no place else to work at.

    Robotech series 1, macross has mature content that people under the age of 13 would not understand. Its heavily weighted down with the feelings of the late 70s/early 80s though so actually people under 23 shouldn't understand it either. The time period had a feeling of space being within our grasp, with Starwars and 2001. It dealt with video game and local culture such as discos(lol). As there was a race of aliens who knew nothing but war... Its a great refresher coming from transformers and GI Joe which was shown 2 years previous... Even though fighting and war is cool, there's other stuff to do.

    Series 2 sucks. Its one of the early attempts at girl power shows.

    Series 3 is the genre of mad max, wasteland, red dawn. Survivalist shows are something people can relate with since its basic. Gathering of resources, and trying your best yet you're doomed.

    Series 1 and 3 are worth a watch, but I'd say not to buy the DVDs unless you're a big fan. To me, its like watching Starwars.

    I sooooooooooooo want a real transformer robot car. I think within 2-3 years, balance technology would be there, just some genious engineer needs to step up so the thing can stand without crushing itself...

    For movement, all you need is a ton of electromagnetic clutches...

    Watch CKY2K thats where some of thier shit takes place. Pennsylvania is definately one of our nations huge tradgedies. As a resident of another one of PA's coal mine towns (Hutchinson-near westnewton), I must say you're on the money :)

    As for jackass... When you have shit else to do, you end up breaking things, yourself, and acting like a fuck head. Everyone half way cool who lives in PA has had the time in their life where they decided to do jackass stuff. Heck my friend even had the idea to do crazy ass stuff, tape it and put it on the net before Jackass became popular... Maybe its just the culture of sickening depression.
