That's not how lossy encoders work. Not to mention, different encoders will come up with a different result for the same source wav with the same bitrate parameters.

You think your definition of quality has any kind of significant impact on record sales? I beg to differ. In fact, I do differ. Where are the masses that would come out and buy all these high quality albums? I'm sure some people would, but not a lot. The music barely matters at all in fact. I think most people buy certain music to give themselves a certain image, or associate with a certain subculture, or to be cool. So it's all about how the band is promoted. If your band is promoted to goths (just using the term makes me cringe) as the hot new must-have music, then the goths will buy it.
This is done other ways than just advertising, though advertising is a huge deal. Certain bands or artists get in the news or involved in controversy. I'm convinced most of these are carefully planned to appeal to the target audience.
This isn't censorship. This is just a restriction against selling these games to minors. A key point is that a parent can still buy the game for the minor if they think their kid "can handle it." Shouldn't the parents be responsible for this? Isn't this what we wanted?
Ok, explain it to me. Are you saying 200 * 5k = 100k? I guess I must be missing something. Are you calling him a mathboy to compliment his math skills, or just to direct attention to your own deficiencies in the subject?
Like everyone needs "college level courses" to be able to program. I hate classes. Are books suddenly not an option for learning to program? Because they were working pretty good when I learned perl.
no. according to the specifications of my phone (panasonic allure) in standby mode (not talking, but in service) it lasts 7 days in standby mode, and 8 hours in analog.
From http://www.socialfiction.org/psychogeography /dummi es.html (describing a division algorithm)
Everybody knows by heart that 8 divided by 2 gives 4, but only Slashdot creeps can divide 19 by 6 from the top of their head & come up with the correct answer of 3,1666
A couple of points that haven't been mentioned.

2) Contrary to many people's posts, center of gravity can make a difference. Since your car starts out sloped downwards, if you put the weight towards the back, it has farther to fall, and imparts more speed on the car. Just make sure you put the center of gravity ahead of the rear axle.
You're not being herded anywhere. If you don't need a cellphone, as you say, you're all set. Having payphones available is not a right. It came into being because it made economical sense. There were enough people willing to pay for calls to make payphones feasible. They're not written into the constitution. They were just a convenience. Now there aren't enough people willing to pay for them. Why should they want to? Cell phones are more convenient, cheaper over the long run, and ladies tell me the vibrate feature really comes in handy. (I just made the last one up... ladies don't talk to me)
Anyway, quit your whining.

Final nail? I didn't know they were doing it in reverse order. When were they planning on putting the first nail in?
However, Bose, certainly has the market cornered for customers perceiving it to have quality. They do it all with advertising.
As an analogy for you geeks, it's like Intel's dominance over AMD, despite AMD having a cheaper faster CPU. Intel does it with advertising. Actually there is a difference. Intel makes quality processors. Bose might be passable, but you won't find anyone who knows what they're talking about saying Bose is quality with a straight face. There are nice things you can say about them. Maybe convenient to set up for the average user or something, but not quality speakers.
This guy is not a good business man if he is devoting most of Nintendo's resources to children's games.
I know what a fantastic business person you are dirvish, but you have to remember, not everyone can be as good as you. Yes, you may be able to manage Nintendo 10 times better than it's currently run, but you have to understand, you're extremely gifted. You shouldn't brag about it.
I'm not saying you shouldn't use the skills you've been given, just don't rub it in someone's face if they don't have the natural talent you do. I'm sure they already feel bad enough about it as it is.
The other crimes investigated by the USSS include counterfeiting of US currency; the forgery or theft of US Treasury cheques, bonds or other securities; telecommunications fraud; identity fraud; credit card fraud; and other crimes against federal financial organisations and infrastructure.
As you should now be able to see, none of this applies to any of the CDs which were being burned at higher than average speed.
I quote "I've got about 50 guns and I love each and every one.". In some song that also has the line "Standing over you with a 12-guage about to bust.", and more.
Now I'm no Snoop expert, but I've never heard that song. I certainly haven't heard them all, so I assume the song(s) that contain these lyrics are some that I haven't heard. But searching the internet, I have been unable to find these lyrics. I'm not trying to imply that the don't, but perhaps you should give the names of the songs so they can be understood in context or something.
Meanwhile, here is the chorus from his latest song: From Tha Chuuuch to Da Palace
Whos the man with that dance? (Snoop dogg! Snoop Dogg!)
Who kick the khakis from his pants? (Snoop dogg! Snoop Dogg!) Get the dro' low anything will stand (Snoop dogg! Snoop Dogg!) Still rock the gin n juice in hand (Snoop dogg! Snoop Dogg!)
If guns were completely abolished, imagine the rap videos on MTV. Snoop and Dre rapping about how their rolled on some suckas with their broadswords and morning stars? Somehow that seems way cooler than taking pot shots at people from the safety of your convertible.:-)
Now I know that the collective/. readership doesn't listen to much rap, but the thing that keeps getting me is this: why does everyone think snoop dogg is "gangster rapper" rapping about guns and killing people? If you should ever happen to hear one of his songs you will find that it is probably just about partying and having fun. Snoop is one of the most harmless rappers i can think of. He's maybe had one line in one song taken out of context or something to give him this image, but seriously, 95% of his songs are just about getting drizzunk and puffing a j.

Nope. I'm pretty sure karma doesn't get me laid, but it's a fun diversion at work or whenever to try to trick people into giving me karma. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. And not all the karma I've gotten is "dishonestly" obtained.
