Yes, but the new Sky HD box (with MPEG4 decoding and PVR functionality) will be built by Thompson.
Given that DirecTV are also moving to MPEG4 for future HiDef, hence making current HD-TiVo's obsolete, I would say NewsCorp seem to know what they are doing.
My point is that Sky contracted Pace to deliver a PVR and they have done so, quite successfully given the take-up of Sky+ in the UK.
From Apple.com
The G5 is divided into 4 thermal zones, each with its own independently controlled fans. The 4 zones are storage (DVD, 2x HDD), expansion (PCI-X), CPU & RAM (2x G5, DDR400) and power (PSU).
You can find a basic diagram here
Hmm. Spoken like a person who has never used Bluetooth.
I find it a great replacement for infra-red when connecting my laptop or PDA to my phone, or when syncronising contacts and calendar info with my desktop.
incidentally the reason random drug testing is so rare in the UK is because most companies would have to fire 70% of their technical staff. UK readers KNOW this is true;)
Yes, if your modchip runs the Linux Cromwell BIOS, as this will not boot Xbox games.
I presume the IP issues that Microsoft are referring to are modchip BIOS's containing modified Microsoft code so that they can boot copied Xbox games alongside unsigned code.
Yes, in fact I bought a used 3630 through eBay just for this purpose! Get over to Handhelds.org for info and browse the mailing list archives whilst you're there.
Yes, streams can be copied, but that involves real time recording which is not an iTunes feature. Of course recording streams is stealing, but recording streams is not Apple's problem. Nor is it an OS problem, as you could just as easily run SPDIF out to SPDIF in (or Line Out to Line In)
Recording a stream from a shared library, which forces you to browse for each song or use the server's playlists, is little different from going to the library, borrowing a CD and dubbing it to a cassette/MiniDisc.
Remember, the files are streamed and not copied to the client. There is no way within iTunes to copy music from a shared library to your own machine.
iTunes Music Sharing is limited to five concurrent clients, whether using Rendezvous or IP. I believe that this means it is exempt from the RIAA webcasting restrictions.
Tools such as Audio Hijack will allow you to record the audio stream to an AIFF in real time, but this isn't Apple's problem. Audio Hijack has many other legitimate uses.
Do./'ers not think that Apple would have thoroughly investigated this before allowing sharing over the wider internet? "I know, lets negotiate with Universal, BMG, RIAA et al and then when we've got everything sorted, we'll really piss them off with a sharing feature!"
Then download Feature Tool from Hitachi to turn it off http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm

NewsCorp/NDS already have their own PVR, it's called Sky+
DVD is just DVD. It used to be Digital Video Disc, then Digital Versatile Disc, but now it's just plain old DVD.
The original iPods have probably already received a DRM update, since they were released well before the iTMS.
