I agree. And there are even more implications with the perm death.
I've been playing Lineage 2 and it is often the case that a farmer or a group of people want to kill you for their own personal entertainment, and in a game were you have to really grind at it to make a progress this sort of thing would make me give up on a game with a perm death policy.
Another example is those abussive high level players that like killing lowbies. Suppose you get to lvl 8 or 9 in two or three days and then comes a lvl 56 and just kills you.
Like parent poster said let there be two modes like in Diablo and everyone can choose whatever the hell they want.
After all when we purchase a game it is really our money what really dictates what we want in a game not if we are newbies or not.
I've been in Dion twice when those announcements came. In one of those times I had a store set up in one of the town's entrances and 1 or 2 mins after the announcement a couple of skeletons came and started hitting me.
The other time I also had a store but this time I had learned my lesson and set the store away from the entrances. I saw 3 or 4 mobs running into town targeting the guy with the shop closest to the entrance.
Not sure if it has to do with Halloween or C2 coming out.
I might be going to extremes but he is basically saying:
"Ok so I can't find a girlfriend so I decided to rape one!"
If he is a so called "whiz kid" why can't he get a job? I thought brilliant people would actually find original ways to prove they are better when it comes to joining the workforce.
How will World of Warcraft differ from other MMORPGs?
...Players will be able to complete quests and experience the world at their own pace-whether it be a few hours here and there, or week-long adventuring marathons...
As long as it is not as bad as Lineage 2 where you have to:
spend two or three 8 hour days to level up and a week to upgrade equipment.
Paint Shop Pro in the past because it was a good and easy program compared to Photoshop and have used Gimp but find it to be a bit more complicated than PSP. Still Gimp is an excellent choice for mst image manipulation operations. I just hope Krita brings the ease of use and intuitive part of PSP to Linux.
going to be the same as when they said no more support for Win98: Suddendly they will realize how many people out there still use something other than XP and reverse their decision.
right! because it's closed source... Only non-american programmers are smart... no one else will be able to decipher Dr. Evil's mini me bug... finally mexicans will be able to get green cards by the millions!
If they learn to use Linux they can surely use any OS out there... I don't think them learning Linux prevents them from using Windows somewhere else but rather they'll probably have a better understanding of how things work (or at least are supposed to work).
I hear you criticize iPODs but I personally use Windows just for the games and I'm sure you can use a Mac for plenty of good stuff.
Besides they should not only teach Linux or Windows. They should try to teach a couple of them to give a general overview. That way when you are faced with a new OS you'll probably won't take long to figure out how to use it.
You should try a MMORPG. Always different people, quests, events, etc.
That would have to be
Cowboy Neal's World of Knights of the Grand Solid Halo-Life 2
And since it would be a MMORPG-FPS you would have to pay $40 bucks a month to get your butt fragged so I don't see the savings there.

lawyers can't agree on what a contract specifies...
Now add an extra layer of "it wasn't me it was robolawyer that told me this was ok"
You'd think he'd be smart enough to put some copy protection in there.
That would be against his ethical principles.
No, you suck. No, you suck. No, you suck.

download 1/3 of the game when there's an update.
scammers & farmers dominate the game.
2 hours server maintenance turns into 8 hours.
We'll be fine.
That or the author hasn't upgraded...

before 1980! at least over my body so would that count as proof of previous art?? right?
I'm burning Win XP right now under my Linux machine! You can't trust the burner shipped with XP to burn itself!

This is weird
It was an extra link you moron! Not an extra story. But I guess *YOU* didn't bother looking at the links.
An article on Macobserver.com:
Best Buy & Microsoft Named In Scam Lawsuit
that was the whole business model behind OSS: charge for support not for the software.
Now they need another 500M so it's time for another round of lawsuits.
