The above lines go in prefs.js and should keep Mozilla from seeking plugins elsewhere on your hard drive. Edit as necessary. To get the JRE on Windows, I copied NPOJI600.dll from the Java installation to Mozilla's plugins directory. (still on 1.0 here)
Also of use: user_pref("browser.blink_allowed", false);
.. ever since I first read about it, but I have a few reservations. Will PalmOS 4.0 fit in the 2mb Flash, and are most apps compatible with the higher resolution screen? I've already convinced myself I don't really need color, since I'd actually be using this as an organizer rather than an entertainment device (GBA is good for that). The CompactFlash slot should make up for the low memory.
And does anyone know what/when Handera is doing next?
Epic didn't care about their Direct3D implementation either. I recall only two rendering modes for Unreal when it was originally released: Glide and software.
That $400 PS2 doesn't include a large screen TV which is necessary to accommodate a 2-4 splitscreen setup for multiplayer. Ever played Goldeneye on a 20" TV with 3 other people? Would you take an iPaq to a Quake lan party?
It saves me time I'd otherwise spend searching, at least. My brother just installed Kazaa in his new computer, and I watched him let several things through ZoneAlarm. (He doesn't seem to understand the point.) One of those was called "ezulabootexe" or something. A google search turned up nothing. Onflow got on there somehow, too. It looks like I'll be dealing with those today.
Providing security for the ignorant can be a full-time job. I need to find one that will pay me.
It's been suggested that Election Day should be a holiday, and I agree that it should, or be moved to a weekend. Being able to elect our representatives is supposed to be an important part of this country. How can people do so if they don't have the chance?
Please, no one bother to say "get another job." It isn't an option for everyone.
>a simple database query can establish whether "Yourname Lastname" had access to the Microsoft-owned code, which could result in legal problems down the road. Even if you never look at the downloaded code, the electronic trail will look like you did -- which is perhaps the most insidious aspect of this version of sharing.
So maybe they plan to look through open souce apps, find code similar to what they release, claim it was stolen, and litigate? I think I'll not download this, but thanks anyway.
SoF2, Return to Wolfenstein, and Medal of Honor use the Quake 3 engine. Don't insult anyone's intelligence by expecting us to think it's the same as the original.
For Onion2k: MoH is not a port of the Playstation game, it just has the same setting and brand name.
I suppose I could have scrolled down and noticed this instead of posting above...
I found that AG won't work if webhancer is removed, so my solution was to change the server urls in whagent.ini to something bogus
and prevent it from having net access in the first place with ZoneAlarm.
if they got cease and desist letters for "infringing Disney's property."
"I used to use *nix but then I joined the HURD"?
That'll make it stop refreshing the site (obviously), and the Flash will load. Worked for me, at least.

..at the bottom of the article:
"After spending more time with file-sharing programs, I heartily recommend LimeWire"
So it's alright to share files, as long as those files aren't from MS.
I first discovered this in Paintshop Pro, and it *does* zoom under the pointer. Very nice.

I guess you've never seen a NeXT Cube, eh?
Or this.

What about the Briq?
Not that I could afford one.

Sun wishes they powered the world. I'd hate to see McNealy's ego then...
They did recently get in trouble for underage drinking. Who knows what might have been covered up? ;)
Either your math is off, or the other two got kidnapped by aliens.

www.webhancer.com It even tells you so during the install. I guess most people click through so fast they don't even realize it. ;)
