that's it, its time to patent the act of patenting. and then patent thinking about patenting things. and also patent every number up to a few hundred billion.
You should combine the old style of writing things on a blackboard, with this new tablet technology. Instead of using the blackboard, use that color screen to better draw out problems. As your board is effectively now infinitely big, not only can you better draw out processes and problems, you can save the file and make it available to your students.
AEROPRESS FTW! For all you hackers, this is the coffee gadget for you. I experimented for a good 2 weeks before I settled on a perfect brew, changing around the amount of grounds, the temperature of the water, the amount of water, the amount of stirring and steeping, the length of the press. And, to boot, you get the best coffee you've ever had, hands down. The way it brews cuts down on the bitter aftertaste, so you get nothing but coffee flavor. Of course, if you like that taste, you just brew it with hotter water. This is starting to sound like a shill, but honestly, I can't live without it.
My recipe: 2 scoops freshly ground coffee (currently I have some Hawaiian beans, and some Tasmanian Peaberry, yum!) 175degF water to the top of the 2 10 second stir nice firm 20 second press dilute 1:1 with water for a nice americano little milk, little sugar, and thats what I have every morning. Delicious!
Slashdot doesn't have to publish the story if they don't want to. The article is interesting, and relevant to the site. If it came from Joe Whogivesafuck, or the author, who cares? What real difference does it make?
There are fines like that at least in NJ. The apt building I live in was getting a sprinkler system installed, and the backhoe digging to tap into the main hit some dark fiber. I found out later, had it been live, our house could've been fined $1,000,000/hr for lost time.
He teaches at NJIT (which i attend). He taught me CIS 435: Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms. His dad is a smart guy. No wonder he created bittorrent:).
is that the same au bon pain that i see in NYC all the time? or as i like to call it, the good pain, (really for no specific reason). thats kinda neat that it might be a brother once removed from my favorite restaurant evar.
I've read the whole series of books multiple times, and I'd have to say, after seeing the trailer and reading reviews on AICN, it looks like its gonna be good.
right click on the network icon and hit disable. i like linux and all, but lets not get carried away here. windows has most of the market share for a reason, even though it may not be one you agree with.
2 weeks ago a police officer got shot in the face a block behind my house, which is a block away from NJIT. Also, last week was hell week, which is gang initiation week. NJIT needs more guns!
i go to NJIT and i hate it, BUT, im involved in our schools smartcampus project and our campus is really wired, we shouldve been in the top 25. when i clicked on the details of my school on the forbes site, almost all of the things they said we did not have were lies.
I had a 900Mhz wireless headphones by Recoton, i took apart the headphones, built a box around the components and hooked the audio outs into a battery operated headphone amp, so now i can use my own headphones in place of their inept ones. i can also plug into my stereo line-ins with a 1/8>RCA cable which is across the room. pretty useful
About a year ago, I was on an mp3 FTP site and I saw some old metallica mp3's. I figured 'hey, i don't know much about metallica, why dont I download them overnight' and so I did. I listened to them the next day and thought you guys ROCKED. I now own practially every album you've put out over the years, and am a total fan.
What do you guys have to say about this? If it wasn't for mp3's I wouldnt of ever bought an album of yours. I'm only 17 and dont have the money go out to CD stores and buy full albums at $17 (and MORE) a pop every single time I hear a decent song. I use napster for this now to sample the album, and if I like it, I am willing to support the artist by buying the CD, and also i like to have something tangable to play, not just mp3's. This rash blame on napster is frivolous (sp?). Mp3s are the future and it is here and it cannot be stopped. Embrace it, dont screw it up with stupid lawsuits that will never get anywhere. Asking napster to block 330,000 user names is useless as well, as the day they are banned, there will be 330,000 new usernames created the next day, all with 'mysteriously' the same mp3 lists.

I would say Bram really knows his algorithms, his dad taught me CIS 435: Data Structures and Algorithms at NJIT. He was a good teacher.
I'm the only IT guy, and my company uses a windows2000 server with active directory and such on a Dell. Runs fine.
I don't really have anything to add.
*cough*

... taught my CIS-435 class. Data structures and algorithms. Its true! He was a good teacher too.
i got all 4 slackware 10.1 CDs last night while i slept over my DSL, using torrent. fantastic! torrents should be used for anything over 10megs.

Bram Cohen is the son of my CIS 435 professor at NJIT, who teaches my Algorithms class. Great teacher, btw. I told him to tell his son 'well done'.
Incedentally, looking at the source of BT made me really want to learn python (which im now doing).
oh, great, tell us about what the machines can do. i want pictures dammit!
FINALLY, slashdot is competing with fark for valuable photoshop market share
