Taxi drivers will not get much public sympathy as they are not powerful nor particularly well liked. The car dealers will shrivel up much more slowly as they have money and a bit of status as well as a public that is slow to adopt new products. But the fact is that the Tesla vehicles simply will not need mechanics. Swapping out a battery pack or an electric motor can be done by any small shop. Glass is already normally handled outside of dealerships as is paint and body and half the garages already provide break maintenance. Brokers can handle the sales unless Tesla sells directly to the public so what is there for a dealer to do?

So far they have a zero drop out rate, a zero failure rate and every single kid has gone on to complete a degree in college. That is what can be done with ghetto youth.

The consequence was tree stumps and roots of woody plants being exposed to water. That lead to water the color of coffee that is rather permanent as 100 years after the dredging the tanic acid still colors the water. I don't know if any studies have been done on the effects of brown water on species or size of fish populations. Some species seem to not mind brown water one bit. So in addition to tree cutting or brush cutting we would also need to forbid any dredging of canals or even ponds to preserve water clarity. That is not likely to happen at all.
Native people of the extreme north really have sort of a miracle going on. And it depends upon how we view their situation. Before the Europeans had much contact these folks were very short on fruits and vegetables and grains of all kinds. So just how does a culture survive such a radical environment and have the energy to hunt and defend against the elements and predators while eating blubber and fish almost exclusively?

But these companies make more money than the fines cost them and it is actually an encouragement to keep on breaking the law. Imagine a jury, composed of tax payers, who know full well that any significant law suit will increase their property taxes and other fees. In effect you are asking a jury to take money out of their own pockets. That rules out a big win.
I've seen this type of behavior with cops in other places. Somebody has put the finger on you or maybe your family or past associates. They will continue to harass you and it can be dangerous. Sometimes this can start because you dated a girl that one of the cops liked. It can also be a false accusation made by an enemy. Another frequent source is a business that complains about lack of police presence or police behavior. In some cases the shift sergeant will actually instruct the shift to lean on an individual.
Whatever you do simply do not allow yourself to get angry or be less than polite no matter how insulting they get. I once had a cop try to bait me into attacking him. There was a backup squad car hiding in the dark. If I had so much as twitched I would have been beaten down or arrested. Ex wife was dating a cop in a nasty divorce----

However in this case the goal of identifying republicans with certain beliefs need not be about immigration. Instead we could locate those with right wing beliefs and compel them to visit or remain in mental health facilities until such time as they are sane and able to think clearly. By not foreseeing result C they can justify all kinds of evils. For example burning coal and dumping pollutants into the air not only does not cause people to die in misery it particularly can not attack their own lungs or their favorite childs lungs and turn them into bed rot heading for a grave yard. Build those pipelines, frack your water supply and burn that coal!!!!
Does Canada have a real way to stop the government from breaking its own laws? The US does not. And how will this effect information that flows internationally? Does a Canadian on vacation in Miami Beach who wants to connect to a Canadian ISP have any real hope of protection? Will criminals who live near the Canadian border cross the border to communicate?
The protection of law is vital and it can work in two directions. A heavy person shops for a bicycle and discovers that all of the department store bicycles have a weight limitation and it would be unsafe for him to ride any of them. Some people will say that is ok. But that same person may walk into a diner and sit and have the seat or stool collapse and suffer great injury thus generating a large loss for the business or their insurance company. It becomes obvious that products released to the public must have a set standard of safety. The question is where we set such limits. We know that people that weigh 450 lbs. are common enough that products should be built to accommodate them. However 900 lb. individuals are rare and most businesses will never see a person of that weight. So maybe a 600 lb. user should be the mark by which products are designed to meet. Height is a similar issue. In a town that permits taxis to operate a man who is seven feet tall should be able to use a taxi just like anyone else. A permit to use a vehicle as a taxi should require that various sizes of people can fit with reasonable comfort and safety.
As far as firing a child care worker due to his weight I think it only matters if the worker can not do the job. For example attending the children in the bath tub means that the worker must be able to fit into the bathroom. He does not need to look good doing it.
I wonder if criminal trials or civil suits are taking place while the state or federal governments withhold information from lawyers or courts. Innocent men could be in prison due to withheld evidence.
