    It all depends on the market rate for the hardware being sold. Your CPU/mobo combo was clearly more attractive a purchase to someone. You can see right now what a 2GB drive commands if you check completed auctions. 7-10 bucks US. I've sold a lot of used computer equipment on ebay. I always checked out market rate for the used item first. If it was less than a certain amount, I would donate it to the computer recylcing center before spending time on an auction. You just have to figure out how much your time is worth and if you are going to cover it in the sale. That's all I'm saying.

    2GB disks command about $10 on ebay. The time it takes to prepare the auction, run it (communicate with buyers usually), pack then ship the item is probably about 60-120 minutes of work depending on how close you are to a post office. It's less work if sold in a lot, but when sold one by one, I found it was a waste of time unless you have a lot of volume and are set up for it.

    Ahh.. a generic letters to the editor address, the one where they pay people to wear flame retardent pants reading the inbox. Somehow, it's just not as satisfying as when you can track down the real author to harrass them. :-)

    Actually they were forced into a name change when scores of Florida alligators made the trek to Gator's corporate offices to protest the negative association. Faced with the possibility of being eaten alive, Gator's board of directors voted to change the name.

    Ya know, I never once even thought about it when firing up yast but yeah- it's hilarious now that you point that out! A kitchen sink icon would have done nicely as well but that being sorta logical would perhaps make that less funny than a pineapple.

    yeah, thats the part I wasnt connecting. I do use Thunderbird at home and work, but in my head, I see the 'Junk' folder and cant resist checking to see if any legit msgs came through. Its actually not even as bad as that, my ISP started offering Postini filtering and it's about 99% accurate. i dont even download that crap, it stays on the postini server.
