It wasn't exclusive content it was a rumor that Kotaku tried to confirm. Had Kotaku never tried to confirm the rumor and just published it then Sony would have never had a chance to ask them to please not publish the story. So what would you say if Sony blackballed a site for publishing a rumor and nothing more?
If you're new to console gaming or its been a while then it's understandable.
Otherwise.. Get over it. you knew what to expect. It has been this way for 10-15 maybe 20 years. Did you own an Xbox 360? It took 4-6 months before there was more than 2 or 3 games worth playing. Look at the PS3 it's having the same problem. So did the GameCube, the PS2, the PS1 and the N64.
The lack of new games soon after a console launches is nothing new. That's why the launch games are so important.
Also don't forget the time of year. All of the good stuff came out last year for xmas. This time of year has always been slow for sales of games AND release of games....
Anyway.
If you like the old Sonic games you should try out the new one for the Wii. From what I understand it's on rails and plays similar to the old Sonic games. The reviews are all over the place for the game but from what I've been reading it's quite fun once you get over the horrible story and a few minor annoyances.
They don't have to overlap but in this case they kind of do.
Because your complaints are (to be blunt) stupid.
You complain about things as if they were exclusive to the Wii.
Every console launched in the past few generations (if not ever) have had these kind of problems at launch.
It took the better part of a year before great 360 games started rolling out. VC games cost too much and the same thing is true with Live and its micro-transactions.
Where are all of the great PS3 games? Where are the games that take advantage of what the system can do?
I dunno to me you might as well be complaining that your car uses fuel knowing damn well that all cars do.
I've known several people who worked for Sam's Club and NONE of them had a single good thing to say about that place. I think they might have made more than somebody working at Walmart but it obviously wasn't enough to put up with the way they were treated.
I've been hearing this for YEARS and honestly Dell doesn't look like they're dying to me. The last time I heard somebody tell me this was about 6 years ago and none of the guys predictions came even close to what he described would be happening by now.
As for Dell butchering suppliers.. We all know it's happening but I've yet to see all of these bad things people keep predicting. Intel seems to be doing fine as well as Microsoft and Nvidia, ATI and all of the other suppliers seem to be doing OK. (The ones who are doing bad such as Nvidia are not blaming dell they're blaming Sony's PS3 etc).
I'm sure I'll hear about all of this doom and gloom in another 5 years and I'll probably laugh it off then too.
These things have a way of working them selves out. If Dell is screwing people over they'll get theirs in the end. No sense in crying about it or bitching about it. It'll happen on it's own.
I'm sure you can dig in your bag of tricks and find something to throw my way so do it. Show me all of the major suppliers Dell has put out of business already.
How about storing the water up high instead of letting it trickle down until you have enough to build up some pressure thus removing the need for water pumps or what not.
Weekends might average it out a little bit. I dunno. I can only speak for my house. Most of us are at work all day until about 7 or 8 so 4 hours is probably about the average usage our TV during the week.
On the weekend it could be way more though. Especially when there are a lot of sports on that I want to watch. I could watch TV 10+ hours a day on the weekend unless I have other plans.
isn't this a good time to just get rid of the penny? why don't banks start collecting them back up and sending them to the mint or wherever to have them melted down and sold as scrap metal for a profit and just completely do away with the penny?
People DO use the chat. Maybe not everybody and maybe not often but it is a cool feature when your in a situation to use it. The chats fill up quick in huge conferences and I've used it in a few classes too. What time and resources would they have saved by not adding it? A few short months if even that? So what would that have done? Helped a game get shipped a little quicker? Big deal I'm glad they added the chat. Plus the ability to use the chat is starting to be built into games (that club house card game has it and I believe true swing golf does also to name 2).
It saves those companies the time and resources to build their own chat software. They can just include the ability to use the built in stuff. Hmmmmmmm.
And the warning screen is a big DUH!! Why does anything have warning screens?
I'd be bitching about wasted time and resources on the DS if there was a reason too. It's not like Nintendo sat on their asses and did nothing to help the system along. They have done everything they could to make it a hit system. They've made games people want and they've gotten 3rd parties interest peaked in the system. I'd say they are doing a pretty fucking good job.
Ah that's right I do remember that. I saw it but didn't read it. My bad.
I wasn't quite sure about how exclusive it would be. The quote I am thinking of is probably a year or older and I'm pretty iffy on what he actually said. I just remember that he showed interest in the Wii but the game probably wouldn't come to the Wii because of their contract with Sony or something along those lines.
Ah well whatever. Thanks for pointing that out it slipped my mind.
I agree with all you said but for me the best part is them getting a shot in the mouth after all of their cocky attitude. Their execs have been so arrogant and cocky about the PS3 it's fun watching them get put in their place. The consumers have spoken.
I compare it to a college (american) football rivalry (or any sports rivalry. the red river shootout/rivalry in my case). You go to the game and listen to all of the cocky fans for the other team talk about how their team is going to stomp you because their team is better and their coach is better and how the previous year was a fluke etc etc. Such arrogance. When your team goes in there and whoops them it feels so great. It makes me wish I could rewind to before the game starts so I can tell those fans exactly what to expect so I can hear them laugh like I'm some kind of idiot and enhance that "crap my team is losing -- and that ass hole fan for the other team was right" feeling they'll get while they watch their team lose. hahaha suckers. of course some times in the end they get the last laugh. ughh.
Nothing unfair has to happen for me to feel that way. It's just fun watching cocky people get a nice dose of reality some times.
It's not like this hasn't happened to Nintendo before. Their cockyness is probably most of the reason the Sony PS did so well in the first place. It's history repeating its self amd Sony apparently forgot to read the History book.
I'd be happy with Warcraft2 personally
Couldn't have said it better my self.
This wasn't some kind of exclusive content or interview. It was a rumor.

I'm sick of hearing people complain about this.

I guess I should have read the entire comment before posting.
So using that logic why exactly should we listen to you or care about what you have to say?
I'm sure you've said something stupid once before or had a bad opinion.
Unless you think you're perfect? Then that's just another reason for me NOT to listen to you.
Great logic.
Forget the fact that he actually has a point and lets bash him for something he said a while ago.
"This is Walmart's competitor to the iTunes Store. And Mac users are not welcome."
Huh? That doesn't make any sense at all.
Wouldn't that be exactly how NOT to beat your competitor? Refuse all of their customers? Hows that supposed to work?
What is there to understand? All of your complaints are damn near common sense at this point.
All you did was point out the obvious.
Let me know when you have a complaint that doesn't apply to every console ever made.
Oh and yes VC game prices being so high does suck but then again so do micro-transactions and over priced live arcade games.
Oops I wrote most of that thinking you were xtracto (very similar to your name at a glance) so uh forget all of the yous and yours in my post.
They don't have to overlap but in this case they kind of do.

Valium? I was thinking Pepto.
How about storing the water up high instead of letting it trickle down until you have enough to build up some pressure thus removing the need for water pumps or what not.
All the effort it would take to create and install all of this stuff would probably cost more energy than it would ever save
That stampede you don't hear is actually former Windows users download Linux distros....For free!
Hell yeah! Battle Chess! To the death.

Even after VAT the console price is over $100 more expensive than the US price.

I'm down. Seems like every freaking store in town here in Austin have PS3's laying around. My local bestbuy had 7 sitting there.
Been searching for a Wii for months. Stores wait until Sunday to sell them and lines form early. They sell out quick.
If I were a more trusting person I'd easily be willing to trade 2 new Wii's for a 20gb PS3. (or +$100 for a 60).
Ah that's right I do remember that. I saw it but didn't read it. My bad.

I agree but I have to say I do like Sony's basic package better than Microsofts.
It's a package that you can live with. You can buy it and it'll work. We don't all need wifi or HDMI.
The 360 package isn't like that. There is no harddrive at all so you can't save games unless you buy a $40 save cart.
Seriously what's the point? It's completely worthless without spending $340 so why not spend $60 more and get a 20 gig drive?
At the very least I give Sony props for not doing it that way.
