I browsed through the collection and a lot of those titles certainly brought back memories. I'm 50. I'm sharing with my father who spent many hours with me as a kid teaching me how to program in basic on our humble Commodore 64.
No kidding. I could do this with my nokia phone, no problem. But with android it's like pulling teeth. Somebody link to this "trojan" so I can install it for my own phone.
About a month or two ago (maybe longer,i lose track) a company called "Nixie" put in service (with the city and county of Honolulu) a text and/or email alert service.
In 2001 I was living in an apartment complex in a North Dallas suburb. If you got a package that wouldn't fit in those teeny-tiny mailboxes then the mail man would drop off the package at the apartment complex office and you could pick it up in normal office hours.
After September 11th, the apartment management sent out a memo to all residents that because of the heightened state of terrorism awareness the office would no longer allow packages to be held there for the residents.
Of course my first thought was they were just tired of dealing with the packages and saw this as a convenient excuse to stop holding packages for people.
Which is my point. This sounds nice now. And I wish them well, but from experience I know how these things can end up. Graft, corruption and greed invariably take their toll. Poor countries like the Philippines should rushing to use Free Software, not encouraging its citizens to purchase expensive crapware. Let's give this some time and see what happens. I hope things will go well. I hope Free Software will take over the world. But... let's just see what happens...
The Philippines is such a poor country, it's about damn time they wised up and chose the free option. Although, I can't help to think that with so much corruption in every aspect of the government and business over there. I'll be surprised if this pans out in the end.
The paper I shoot for doesn't require squat. Just shoot pictures. If they're good, they use them. We have editors that use Photoshop to crop, resize and color correct if necessary. But. If they wanted to use the gimp they could do that too. No one holds a gun to their head and says use Photoshop. It's just the "industry standard", but if you can do the job with different tools then go for it.
Yeah, I agree, 35 Euros is quite a bit for a damned movie. Source material included or not. I wonder if they would be open to just selling the movie for 20 bucks and keep the extras.
How about this.. if I rent a movie and never return it no one else can rent it. If I save a PPV movie to hard disk, tape.. whatever.. I have it and so do they, no theft..
Cow farts

Do a google search for slashdot deleted posts scientology, and see what comes up.
It will come down to the Muslim vs. the Mormon. And unfortunately I suspect the Mormon will edge out the Muslim by a slim margin.
But if you're a Democrat you should still probably try your best to support the Muslim.
Fuck these choices, those other 3 idiots are idiots. Ron Paul is the clear choice.

Heh, you want 2 tatas! Me too!
Heh.. you said "tatas".
God, I would love to have a tata to ride around in.. Of course people might say I looked like a boob inside that thing, but I wouldn't care.

Anyone know where the best viewing places in Hawaii would be?
I don't want access to proprietary software and codecs. I run Linux to use free software. I want open codecs, and GPL'd DVD player software et. al.
