Goodie for you. I wish I lived in your world. Some of us live in the real world which is a dynamic and fast moving place where not everything is under your control. My overall point is, the surface is really good for some use cases. It's only fair to acknowledge this if you're going to call it useless.
There is one indisputable point in which Surface is awesome and iPad and android competitors cannot match. If you are going to a conference or a business meeting and you need to do some last-minute edits on your presentation, you can do this on the surface and you cannot on the iPad. The surface has USB support and it has a native version of PowerPoint that is much more compatible with the desktop version.
I have found that both the iPad and Mac versions of PowerPoint are mostly compatible with files made on the desktop windows, but sometimes breaks things like fonts, photo layouts, or transitions. If you're in a pinch and try to make a change on the iPad, then you need to upload it to "the cloud" or email it to yourself, then try to download it on either the presentation computer or on someone else's computer so it can transferred to USB. It's times like this when I wish I had a surface.
"When I'm president, we're going to have the biggest, best navy in the world, and it won't kowtow to losers like activist judges, dolphins, and whales."
well, jokes on you because apple tv is already a great success, and the new model extends what is being currently done. I'm interested to see the new "app centric" approach and the app store. tbh not that interested in the games myself. sometimes i like renting movies from itunes.
no matter what, the apple tv will be successful for its streaming tv. gaming and iot hub are just added benefits. both will have time to grow and be supported.
in the keynote they were pushing the appletv remote as a wii-like "wand". it even comes with a wrist strap so you don't break your tv. it showed one of the steelseries xbox style controllers as the canonical controller. too bad it won't come with one in the box.
Newton and Pippin were both literally 20 years ago. It's like saying that the Xbox One sucks because of MS Bob. Similarly, the "jailbreak over the internet" OS was 6 revisions ago.
so, if you're doing emails to family, you log out and log back in to read /.? that doesn't sound very convenient...

you underestimate my fingers at your peril!
I have really strong fingers.
agreed. it goes back to the "leanback experience" that people have talked about.
Are you high??
What about the black hatter that goes in and erases everything. Troll the world!
Sounds like scrotonauts lol
I'm not trying to impugn most democrats or republicans, I'm just suggesting you may be overestimating your friends.
The whole first two letters of that acronym kind of exclude them from the Cool Kids Club.
maybe it's like the no homers club?
My Republican and my Democrat associates all seem inclined to believe in the need to have the freedom to encrypt our documents.
I don't tend to hang around with extremists and idiots
danger! danger! contradiction alert!
why do you assume the RNC is the problem?
if your such a fan of freedom and encryption maybe you should encrypt ur ass instead of waving it all around town?
what is big o
