    Yep, my neighbor has 2 monster pickup trucks in his driveway that cause my windows to vibrate and 4 ATVs parked under his deck in the backyard. Don't think I'd see that on the map.

    There was an article here a few months ago about a USB Killer device that will send a stream of electricity to whatever device it's plugged into, destroying the USB port at minimum, or the entire device at worst.

    Google always thinks power users (people who use quotes around phrases, or who use the site:domain.com filter, or who are fast typers able to submit more than 1 search every 5 seconds) are suspicious.

    Many startups dream of getting purchased by the big companies like Yahoo and AOL. They will be around FOREVER!

    If your startup gets purchased for a few billion or a few million, just cash out immediately, so even if the acquirer's stock goes to 0 in a few years, you already have money in the bank.

  11. What I've experienced is that if I go one major upgrade beyond the iOS that came with the iPhone then that's fine. However, if I try to upgrade to the next major version beyond that, then the iPhone will be too slow.

  12. I saw a dead pixel and a stuck pixel on a $4000 HP ZBook laptop with Dreamcolor screen last year. Returned it for another one.

    It was a poor attempt at sarcasm, since your point was that you never go to the movies for a variety of reasons. Or did I totally miss the sarcasm and you actually go to the movies all the time?

    Only applies to billionaires who lose tons of money, so when they don't pay taxes, what's really happening is they're just shrinking their losses some. In the end they still lost money.

  16. I'm in the market for new glasses, and I've been researching the different types of lenses. Apparently these blue-blocker lenses will give your vision a yellow tint. Not only that, but anyone looking at you might notice purple reflections off your lenses.

    If they ask your salary history, then ask the salary history of people who have held the position and the salaries of everyone at the table.

    I was interviewed by an anonymous panel of which one guy wanted to introduce himself until he remembered the interviewers were to remain anonymous. I asked if I could remain anonymous also. I didn't get the job.

    Well yeah, they wanted to give you the job, but they couldn't since you were anonymous.

    They used to provide very detailed patch bulletins, but they stopped doing it maybe 5 or so years ago.
