It's bad enough that MS is harassing every phone/tablet manufacturer to pay some sort of "Android tax", because of "reasons". I'd like to see a single manufacturer stand up to this kind of crap, but so far that's not happening. I don't want MS anywhere near my phone.
I get that they have to remove their music library and have decided to shut down as a result... but why must they hand their software, patents and other IP to the music cartels? Why can't they keep their own stuff and choose to go legit?
Are they trying to rip off a particular web CMS platform that churns out all these hipster sites, or is it just coincidence that they all look the same?
We already dealt with one Clinton, it ended in White House oral and impeachment. Honestly though, I don't think we should allow family members of previous presidents to become president themselves. That means Jeb Bush too.

People pay for servers all the time and never use them. If they paid for the year, then why should the hoster care?
boo hoo.
My ears are burning... oh wait.
Slashdice didn't care what we had to say about slashbeta. Why they cared about Sourceforge, I'll never know.
Fuck you and your pointless buzzword.
This is Slashdot. Did you honestly expect the editors to actually do their jobs?
Russians did it.
So what are you going to do about it?
Not every Intel K has it disabled, in fact, Haswell only has like two...
Seems like the only ones who loose are devs who release really buggy games, or ppl who put up crap in hopes of making a quick buck.
See Early Access, Greenlight, Unity asset abuse and Jim Sterling.
Affects Android 2.3, aka Gingerbread. Does anyone even use Gingerbread anymore? Ice Cream Sandwich was released in 2011.
The operating system will be open for developers to tinker with
and suddenly it becomes 10mb.
I'm not plugging my 1000 DPI mouse into something that sits between it and my PC. We're trying to reduce input latency, not create it.

... can you finally shitcan it now? (Like 90% of your other products...)

I can't believe they haven't fixed it yet... I've been seeing these in my logs for years.

Not to mention most microcomputers from the 80s only had 64kb of addressable memory, and a good chunk of it was dedicated to ROM space.
Isn't Bluray (or any traditional optical media for that matter) susceptible to melting in a fire? Wouldn't a platter drive survive that better?
Normally I would agree with you, but you don't mix B & P. (Unless your name is BP, of course)

Intel moves their HQ out of the US and continues to operate as usual.
I didn't either, but maybe the name "Lil Bow Wow" will ring a bell. He only got a spot on this show because he's related to Snoop Dogg.
Patents on the NES hardware expired like a decade ago.
Secondly, that would mean you would be breaking the law just to be able to play games that you legally paid for.
like that's actually stopped anybody...
