well, if you had R'd TFA you would know that the backup landing sites are in California and New Mexico, and if Florida still has bad weather they want to try and land somewhere tomorrow.
I sold my SL-5500 a couple years ago, but IIRC it was mentioned on one of the first pages of the user's manual that came in the box, with a link to their website where you can download the source.
It's even better when you've got Bluetooth, because there no need for the self-made data cable. Powerbook + Sony/Erricson T637 + GPRS = wireless backup internet connection!
Either you are really thick headed, or you're trolling. If you do like the GP says, you will de-authorize all the other "authorized" computers. That means your previous installs. After that, you've got 5 open spaces again. Just authorize your current computer and you can listen to that $90 worth of music again.
It was all about laptops. Just before the merger was announced, a study was released showing that something like 40% of new PC purchases were laptops, rather than desktops. For Apple, the ratio is probably even more heavily-skewed in favor of portables.
Actually, according to their quarterly earning's report, Apple laptops were 42% of there Mac sales, so just about even with your quoted industry average. Now, I agree laptops are a huge reason for Apple jumping ship to Intel, and they're probably hoping that percentage keeps going up.
There hasn't been a Federal Interstate speed lmit in, oh, 10 years now. Each state is allowed to set their own Interstate speed limits. For example, it's 70mph through most of MO, and 75 in CO I think. Interestingly, the last time I drove through KS to CO, everyone slowed down when crossing the border, even though the speed limit went up! I think it had something to do with the sign that said "Speed limits are enforced."

It took over a month of constant hassling to get them to hook it up correctly (after my original installation date). It took another month to get it to the proper speed. Service frequently drops out. It uses PPPoE so my IP address changes every couple of days. 5MB webspace limit, 5GB/mo usenet limit. $50/mo for 1.5M/256k service. The only non-Charter provider in the area, but I'm not switching to charter because my wife's parents say it's even worse!
If he looks at BSD internals, anything he comes up with relation to those internals might be considered derivative works and would need to be BSD licensed.
I was going to mod you down since I've got the points, but there isn't an "Incorrect, -1" moderation.
The BSD license is about as liberal as it gets, basically saying "Do what you want with the code but leave my copyright notice." This includes sticking the BSD code into GPL'd code, XYZ'd code, or even closed, proprietary code.
GPL is the license that says what is open must stay open, and even with that, only if you copy the actual code. "Ideas" are not protected by copyright, just expression. Protecting designs and more recently ideas is what patent law is for.
First of all, anti-terrorism legislation requires hotels retain a photocopy of your driver's license.
Nope, I just stayed at a Holiday Inn in AL, and a Days Inn in CO, both within the last month. Neither asked for a driver's license.
Second, credit card companies don't get details about a charge for 2-3 days after the charge is made,
BS here too. I can make a purchase anywhere in town, and by the time I get back to my computer, the Name of the store, location, and amount charged are already in my online visa statement through BoA.
I went through similar credit card theft 2 years ago
Yes, a closer analogy would be suing Sony because you bought music on a minidisc, and now you have to buy a portable minidisc player to take it with you.
I got an ITBS injury with Nikes. Now I use New Balance for running.
Amen. Nike's killed my legs. Knees, shins, hips, you name it, the shoes broke it. I went to a real shoe store and was fitted with a proper pair New Balance running shoes, and haven't had leg problems since.
What project are you on, and do you have any open Level 1 or 2 positions for me to transfer in to? I've been on two projects in the last few years, and both were using a combination of Fortran, Ada, and VB6 with COM on Windows 2k. I use my powerbook exclusively at home, and would LOVE to use OSX at work too!
evas is still "on the way"?!?! Rasterman showed us his embedded work and evas2 and told us it (and E17) were "just around the corner" two years ago at a conference at UIUC. It seemed cool then, but now it's old news.
Retail Store - although I'm sure all major electronic stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc, have excellent supply chain management, I still gotta believe they get stuck holding the bag a little when new cameras are announced every six months, and suddenly all of the current cameras they had in stock suddenly become devalued...
I'm not sure how Best Buy treats all of their suppliers, but with software you don't see a dime until your software sells from their shelf, so it's the manufacturer who get's stuck with the cost of the old product if it's devalued.
Tuesday, April 10th 2007 between the hours of 9 AM and 11 AM local time.
Just about the time OSX 10.5 should be released, and it's even a Tuesday! Is that you Steve?

Little bit different here. From the first time my wife used my laptop until I bought her a new one I lost access to it.
`links -g` is your friend in such cases(added in version 2 I think)

Time for Solar Miner IV to win a second race!
Looks like I should have checked the page before I submitted. The current car is Solar Miner V, not IV!

ahhh! After watching that it feels like my brain just shrunk. Give me my 5 minutes back!

A lot can change in two years.

UMR has also had SSO with kerberos for a long time now.

Take off and firewall it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Wow, talk about an obscure Clerks reference. That episode never even aired did it?
That depends on your definition of "few". I bought a 19" CRT at WorstBuy for $189 4 years ago, and at that point the price was already pretty steady.
Close actually. Now 9533.24-.1=9533.14, rather than 9533.1399999999
linky
Looks like we were stress testing Yet more stolen code. Not PearPC, Not pdf2html, but Ogg Theora's java port.

Actually, I have used IE on all 4 of of those platforms. True, it was IE5, but it was there. Native for first 3, and through Wine for the penguin.
