    It's really quite simple, the soldiers on the front line are brave. The ones at desks aren't. They may be just as useful, but they don't deserve the same recognition. A postman is as useful as a fireman, but guess which one should win medals?

    There are thousands of such petty issues, and some not so petty. But it's the principal of the thing, we will not be ruled by someone in another country. Oh and it's not petty getting a banner on every single website I visit, it's as annoying as ads. Anyone got an adblocker that blocks cookie notices?

    Nobody ever reads an EULA. Ever. And I doubt more than 1 in 100 people would understand it if they did. You have two choices, install and agree, or don't install. So everyone obviously just clicks "I agree". Therefore an EULA should not hold up in court. People just expect a piece of software to behave sensibly. It doesn't mean much anyway, M$ couldn't write "I agree that Microsoft can murder my family" for example.

    I assume Javascript's needed for plenty of other sites, so why would I want to have to turn it off then on again? If the site doesn't work with my default settings, it's designed wrong, and I simply won't use it. End of story. I'm not wasting my time messing about with settings and trying different browsers. EVERY OTHER SINGLE SITE IN THE WORLD works fine. Forbes is wrong, Forbes can get lost.

    Why would turning something off make it work? If it needs JavaScript, it should be on, if it doesn't, it doesn't matter. Anyway, I don't care for pages that can't display right when every other page known to mankind works with my default setup.

    Forbes stops me from going in without turning mine off too. It's Adblock for Opera. It blocks every single ad on everything including Youtube videos and I see no reason to switch because of one fucked up site.

    I've never met anyone who understands it. Myself I have to read the dictionary definition every time, and even then it isn't clear. And even if I did understand it, everyone has a different opinion of what it is anyway, so I'd still be wrong even if I was right.
