  3. No, they'd stay the same. Currently if you're an uninformed voter, you pick the wrong party. The good thing though about continuous voting is the voters could actually vote for what they want, rather than picking from a choice of 5 people, none of which agree with more than 20% of their opinions. They've sort of started a similar thing here, we can sway the opinions of the local politician when they ask us what to prioritize etc.

  4. Wrong. We pick from a small number of choices of politicians, who might have vaguely similar ideas to ourselves, then hope they aren't liars and don't change their minds. If you believe the population aren't to be trusted, why do we vote at all?

  5. The electorate are the only ones who should be making decisions, not politicians. The way the country is run affects us, not them.

  8. "I'd imagine that they'd like our government out of their countries." Which is no reason to let them into the US. The US is in their countries BECAUSE they keep invading. And I don't see Americans going over there and trying to change their laws.

  9. Good grief, someone sensible on Slashdot. It's quite odd since most of you are atheists, that you tolerate religious morons.

  10. The reason is, why take the risk? Let none of them in, nothing gets blown up. Become atheist, then we'll let you in. It's high time all religion was thrown out the window where it belongs.

Fossil fuels create global warming (yeah right, whatever, who cares), nuclear will kill us all (yeah right) and wind farms make too much noise (ROTFPMSL!). It's high time we started ignoring them and got on with life. The only important thing is generating energy.

  23. He's not missing your point, your point is simply wrong. You can't grasp the difference between committing a crime, and not preventing a crime. The police stop crimes. Members of the public and private companies shouldn't have to. If Mr Smith pirates something, then the police can track down Mr Smith. But the ISP, the phone company, the postal service, the electricity company, the supermarket where he buys his food, are all nothing whatsoever to do with his crime, yet any of them could have stopped him.
