    I truly beleive what I wrote. We are like bacterias, in a close vase with limited resource, burning more and more and fighting to have more. Until there is no more resources, and the population slowly dies.

    Alright, its not really the "beginning" of the end, it is just another leap towards self-destruction.

    HUMANITY, do you care for the future? Not the future of americans, not the future of afganistans, not the future of frenches, but the future of fucking HUMANITY.

    I am not really talking here about this specific weapon and americans, but rather about how humans, the human nature, will lead to the end of our "world".

    First, this is NOT a troll.

    Second, I think it is very paradoxal for someone to use lots of pirated software and be furious because one company includes GPL code in their commercial software.

    I just say that you must be consitent in your judgment. Enforcing software licenses is good or bad? Please choose.

    It is good when its your software, but not when its someone else?

    Would it be legal to write in an EULA that my software X cannot be used on the same computer than software Y, and uninstall it without warning if it finds it?

    Have Netscape, for instance, remove without warning Internet Explorer from your computer? (But have it written in small characters somewhere that you can't use another third party software to surf the web)

    How about having a software running in background to ensure that you dont download a competing package?

    People should make it clear that we, computer users, will not tolerate such things.

    Did I miss something or it has been easy to build a wireless ftp/http server for quite a long time? Bluetooth is slow and has a short range, while a laptop with a 802.11b network card can hold way more than 5 gigabytes, is way faster, and has an operating range very longer.

    Now imagine if every kid on the block had a laptop with a wireless network card in their backpack, swapping clips taken from the "security" x10 wireless cameras around the neighborhood with a p2p application.

    Haha I first noticed that they have only one original story, and few (between one and four) links to other stories every month.

    Then while reading the about page, I really felt sorry for the site owner. He thinks his website is so great, but in fact there is really nothing to brag about.

    Still a good laugh, and yet another proof that slashdot story moderators are lobotomized monkeys (or money savvy).

    1- One could send millions of CDs, containing an idiot proof linux system, to every computer owners and in computer stores. Add on it a free access to the internet for X months with a random isp, and configure it to be the easiest to use as you can.

    Now let for a moment imagine that Microsoft would come "bare bone".

    I think many new companies would focus on providing all the extra tools you need on one CD (or more probably DVD). Imagine installing the "Windows core CD1", and then installing your "Windows basic software DVD" that you bought, or downloaded for free?

    I don't think your mom would necessarly find it harder. "Just insert Custom WinSoftware DVD in your drive and press OK."

    Sure having to download each single software when you want to use it and its not there would be painful. But many companies would be happy to provide a disk with the basic apps, easy to install.
