This happened three or four years ago too. I thought lastpass was great until that. I shut my account down immediately. They had a lot going for them, but security wasn't one of them.
Not all tattoo inks are created equal. Many practitioners use ink from botanical sources. I didn't know tattoos were a hipster thing. I thought they were more into beards, cutoff shorts, and bicycles?
AGREE... This genre is over-saturated. There are way too many games and WAY to few distinguishing features between each. The kids don't care.... it's not their money, and the parents buying them definitely don't care. Does the industry really expect me to buy "Call of Duty", "Battlefield", AND "Destiny" ? Different game physics, maps, and inventory is not enough.
This is my understanding as well. I had not really paid much attention to it until this past week when it was mentioned at work. Since we are still working with older releases of the major distros it hasn't come up. Last night I read up on the topic and was disturbed with what I found with respect to Linus's calling out of one of systemd's prime movers for some blatant ignoring of kernel development etiquette. I think systemd does introduce some good things as well as some not so good. None of that should matter in the long run if improvements / bug fixes are handled properly. I think the systemd maintainers are well aware that they are on thin ice with the community, so we should hopefully already be seeing improvements.
I think we've seen what no regulation gets us. Product/service stagnation, price fixing, lobbies for legislation that doesn't benefit the consumer, etc. Let's try something different. It may not be perfect, but giving these companies carte blanche is just going to result in higher profits for the shareholders and fewer/worse choices for consumers. It would be great if we had truly free market rules in play, but that is not the case in the USA where law makers are practically on the payroll of the companies lobbying for legislation that favors them and stifles competition.
+1 for simplicity. Maybe version control system clients in and of themselves are too complex for the tech writer / doc person. Have them dump their latest changes to a drive/dropbox/folder and use automation to handle getting them into the proper place in source control.
Sounds like the underlying problem is poor planning / lack of communication / clear guidlines for developers to follow so they are not working against each other. Fix these problems with the existing solution. Don't add another layer that only one person uses / understands for doing their work. That approach definitely works for the individual but multiply this for every team member who (doesn't like/is confused by) the existing solution and you've got a much more significant devops problem. Additionally bringing on new team members and getting them to be productive will take much less time if the root of the problem is resolved.
What is the probability that the device would be as "awesome" as the group behind kickstarter marketing campaign says? They don't identify any particular manufacturers or vendors for who will be mass producing this thing. Doesn't that matter? Are they just going to go with the cheapest bidder, or are they targeting a particular vendor that is known for manufacturing high quality products. Seems like any kickstarter campaign should be including that at the top along with the other vapor, so people deciding whether to fund have a real idea of what/who they're funding.
This company is notorious for changing terms on customers. Not that they are the only one.
If you have ever left Verizon for a reason don't let this "ambiguous bone" make you forget why.
You should not trust any tool that isn't open sourced. Consider the folks peddling closed solutions to be doing so with nefarious intent. Even without nefarious intent you would not want to hand your device over to some tool constructed by a kid who gleaned the information to write the tool from instructions cobbled together from their various sources.
You can also avoid the problem altogether and choose to carry a real phone instead of a "smart phone".
To bring the steam platform to Linux... How long have people been asking for this? Pretty sure the details of the release would have eluded to the quality of it... Folks should have been wary, but it does suck.
Not just because I'm less intelligent than gritty, but I've seen super intelligent people unable to "get things done" when they're asked to do anything besides pontificate (intelligently).
Are trying to do something about the stagnate portable audio player market. The DAC in the iPod line sucks. It's "good enough" for the average music listener to think it's a great sound. What about those people that care about the preserving original sound and having a lot of dynamic range? Should we join the tirade against Sony attempting to fill a gap in the market like 99% of the people commenting because we didn't like some cheap Sony earbuds we got that one time? Fanboi culture has made meaningful discussions on products a thing of the past... a bunch of regurgitated rhetoric and buzz words.
Jobs was a brilliant software architect. This legacy's remnants can still be found in the core of OSX. BeOS and OSX were great advancements in the software world. What is Apple's long term strategy for make new advancements in their core technology? Adding/iterating on layers on top of what already exists is great until a critical point is reached when your stretching your software to do things which was never intended in its initial design. What major innovation to its core software has Apple made since OSX and iOS were initially released? This article just adds another notch in argument that Apple is somewhat rudderless in the technology department. Apple needs to spend less time marketing and more time engineering technology.

Trying to decide whether or not I am surprised that someone carrying so much gear would not include condoms.
He must fashion condoms from some of the materials. Ziplock bags, epoxy glue.. Fish hooks and pepper spray if he's doing a "french tickler".
..and we all know how well communism works out..

I can see that given the forces associated with a black hole..
It's an effect of our evolution. There is more science being done, and our tools are getting better so we can test more theories.
Dude, they own Nokia and all its IP. What more do they need to dominate the future retro-cell revival market?

If motherboards came with this maybe your desktop pc could be used for simple multiroom audio

There is a really good iq2 debate about this http://intelligencesquaredus.o...
It's not as much a failure of the demand on what they sell as much as it is the decline of the physical store front.

Microsoft is also not the only manufacturer that continues to produce basic & feature phones. Samsung has continued to produce them as well.
