5 seconds of searching Google tells me you have to be 6 miles in the air on a clear day to see the earths curve. A feat that main kind has only been able to accomplish with basically any plane that can reach cruising altitude. Now if in the entire time this man was building his suicide machine he did not think to put in that much research time. Who are we to stop him.
As someone who's had to repair a couple Macs in my day I always thought that Macs we're poorly designed was one of those things that went without saying. Like water is wet or the sky is blue. Most Mac products focus more on being difficult to take apart rather than well designed and the places they cut corners are just ridiculous. Remember when they first released the aluminum body MacBooks and figured they didn't need to have a heatsync so just diffused the heat out of the bottom or the laptop. Who does that?
Of course this is all going by the assumption that these self service Kiosks are going to do their job better than a human ever would and that no human in the world is going to complain and cause problems. My guess is they are going to roll it out, then after a week of customers complaining their orders are wrong because they thought hitting the button that said chicken mcnugget with the picture of a chicken mcnugget on it meant double cheese burger. They are going to put one guy up front with the kiosks to help the blind, elderly, dumb and technologically stubborn . As well as cash people out if they can't use the machine. Then he's going to get so backed up during rush times they are going to have to bring a second guy out to help with the other machine and look at that your right back up to staff.
I just... can't get past the fact Mike Pence uses an AOL account. I mean I know conservative politicians are typically behind the times socially, economically and morally but even technologically. What kind of PC you rockin at home Pence a 486?
A fine golf clap for the trolls out there. I can't even read a benign article about a lab mishap without the comments section turning into a bs argument about truth in media. Who would make this up and why?! Seriously!!
The importance of things like backups and redundancies are lessons people usually have to learn the hard way. I bet you gitlab won't ever make this mistake again
Anyone brave enough to check out the porn reddits out there will know that Reddit is willing to tolerate a lot of things that normal users would find offensive. What they don't put up with is harassment which is what this doxxing crap is. Anyone who thinks this decision is motivated by anything other than protecting people from malicious trolls is very sadly misinformed on how the internet, America, and the concept of human decency work.
Very true. Which is why so many companies are moving towards automation and outsourcing to increase their bottom line. Its not like they need to have their employees best interest at heart or even the customers, as long as your big enough you can guarantee a customer base in this country even if everyone hates you and you hate your customers Like Wal-Mart or the Kardashians. The only part of the US economic system that is even obligated to give a crap about the average citizen is the government. But with a republican majority and their conservative values of small government and little to no market regulation the likelihood of seeing any intervention to help Americas working poor is non exsistent. Which puts working Americans of all walks of life at risk of their positions being undercut and being replaced by someone or something willing to do the same job for pennys on the dollar. Course eventually your going to reach a point where the majority of Americans are too poor to buy any products or use any services beyond what's needed for survival. Maybe then companies will realize how dangerous it is to ignore the other half of the economic system that gives them all the money in the first place.
Wow no way Microsoft is half baking a reason to drop all support for every version of windows but the one they are currently Making money on. Are bears still sh*ting in the woods as well.
Thank you. All tablets mobile devices and game systems have done is whittled down the end user market. For the average Joe there's no reason to spend over a grand on a decent computer that won't crap out in a couple months if they just want to surf the web and play some games when they could have all for only a couple hundred. But for enthusiasts out there having a high powered easily customizable machine is a must. And as far as the "marketplace". Every online storefront I have ever seen thrives on indie developers using tools that were provided for free by major studios. If not for them we would all be playing Captn. Blands adventures in the land of excessive bloom 5.
Lets not forget about the conspiracy that there is a conspiracy about the conspiracy of the white house front gate. The gate-gate,gate-gate. Why doesn't anyone in the news ever talk about what's really going on.
So the innovation isn't so much the game concept. Its the fact that its Mario. Because we all know that Mario is a really person that needs to be poked and prodded into doing games and not just a jumble of code and a collection of sprites. Explains why they haven't made a decent 3d Mario game since galaxy. The old guy probably doesn't have it in him after doing all those handheld games.
There's definitely some kind of underlying problems going on in his life. I've worked shitty jobs and I worked high pressure jobs and neither of them made me want to kill myself. Unless you count cirrhosis.
Why not throw a ton of money at disadvantaged Americans. You act like the poor people in America don't have it as bad as people in other parts of the world. Check out the most backwood sections of our country and you will see practically no difference between them and rural South Africa. Lets not even get started on the amount of poverty that plagues our cities. Problem is though people don't see our country as having a poverty problem. For decades charities have been sending camera crews to the most destitute parts of Africa and then acting like that is representative of the country as a whole. It makes it hard for the average person to recognize poverty when they see it. Unless it's a sad round bellied black child being attacked by flies. Which trust me you there is a lot of that too in the most rural portions of Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and even where I live in New York. You just don't have Sally Struthers sticking a camera in their face and saying "won't you help these poor starving American children". Also, if Uganda has a public school system, a private school system, and a ruling body that enforces educational standards how third world could they possibly be.
Say what you want about its affect on the election but don't even try to downplay the sheer amount of garbage that clogs up the Facebook on a daily basis. Also, the main issue is not just the level of garbage news out there, it is how facebook only streams you the news you want to hear and blots out anyone on the other side of the argument. Which is what a lot of people are saying it attributed to the rampant partisanism we had in our election. Just check out Tomi Lauhren. You may not have heard of her but I bet your racist grandpa has seen a couple of her bile spewing videos on their facebook wall.
Maybe its just the cynical prick in me but whenever a company drops a press release after a major screw up and say something like "we take 'blank' very seriously" or "we are taking steps to investigate the problem with 'blank'" My eyes roll so hard they get stuck looking at the back of my skull. "We take blank very seriously" typically means "we take this problem very seriously now that people are actually paying attention to it and will continue to pretend we are fixing it until everyone's A.D.D kicks in and they piss off to be angry about something else." Just about every country that facebook is in has problems with the ol' FB's hands off approach to content control. So what if it convinced a bunch of misinformed idiots to elect a orange skinned biggot with stupid hair to the highest office in the free world. No body is gonna give a crap in a month when there is another school shooting or Taylor Swift goes outside in last seasons boots.
For that matter what do they mean by mobile. What about tablets and ultrabooks that without any issues render the desktop or mobile version of a site without any problems, which index are they going to be placed on. What is going to be part of this new mobile index? Searches through the Google app or will using the website through a browser also work? What about if I set my browser to request the desktop version of sites? For situations like when I'm using wikia or certain forum sites that purposly hobble the mobile version of their site to try to force you to use their app. For that matter what priority indexing do mobile devices need. Shouldn't it be the other way around where the desktop users who are a lower concentration of people but are most likely doing more power user related things like researching projects for school and work? Not just looking up memes and porn like the majority of mobile users? This all just seems so.... stupid.
'There's a sucker born every minute' I believe the phrase always was. Tired of the phone you paid a ridiculous amount of money not having the basic on board functionality you want in a phone. Don't shop for better options. Turn to crowd sourcing, a notoriously fool proof option. It must be nice to be able to be so irresponsible with your money.
This was a long time coming. Most of Digital Homicides games are asset flips from the unity store. Since day one they have been combative with reviewers. First by trying to remove the reviews, then by trying to ban users, content iding videos on YouTube, and now by threatening legal action. The fact that steam didn't ban them sooner is a failing on valves part, and all the literal and metaphorical s**t this guy has been getting is a result of years of the steam community putting up with him. I understand wanting to play the devils advocate but seriously f**k this guy.
You want a really good laugh check out the debacle between YouTuber Jim Sterling when digital homicide took a big sweaty dump on the Steam store and called it 'the slaughtering grounds'
Just because you and the people in your immediate vicinity don't use a headphone jack doesn't mean the people who do are a minority. Checkout lines in almost every grocery store don't have headphones right by them because they are catering to a niche market. They do because everything from computers to PlayStation controllers have headset jacks and a lot of people like to use them.
I had no delusion that it was going to be a super high octane shooter. I was all down for a space survival game. But it doesn't even scratch those itches. You just collect and collect for no reason other than to keep moving. No Minecraft style build mode, no real sense of danger that you get from games like ark or dayz, nor the sense of camaraderie that you get by joining a game with a bunch of your friends and building a massive dick shaped missile turrent that those games have. Honestly Space Engineers has all that plus procedurally generated planets the ability to build ships any shape and size you want. And its half the price. As well as every other survival game I just mentioned. I can't speak for everyone but that's why I hated no mans sky. That and the utter pretentious of the whole game. Making a whole show of every little centimeter of progress like if it doesn't keep reminding you how great it is every second we will forget it exists.
I wonder how long it took from the first post calling players thieves, before the Sony PR squad burst through his front door, held him down, and jammed his foot in his mouth with extreme prejudice. It doesn't matter how much money your companies losing fuckstick the customer is always right and the customer thinks your game is BORING.

'Crybaby nazi's' I like it. It would make a great band name.
