What? You still have to know Obj-C to code for OS X?

  2. Re:60 in 3.3 seconds? on Microsoft Money Leads To Street-Legal Porsche 959s · · Score: 1

How can you compare a bike's 0-60 time?! Two different worlds and bikes will always usually be faster than cars.

  3. Re:It's really frustrating on Buy.Com Debuts Music Download Site · · Score: 1

I don't give a fuck about Linux or MS, but I'm not buying music from BuyMusic.com. I'll wait for PC iTunes. I don't want to buy music in WMV format and I like Apple's licensing better.

  4. What an eye sore on Keep Your Eye on the Electric Sparrow · · Score: 2, Interesting

Killed by its own ugliness. I'd rather sport the VW 1-litre than the Sparrow.

  5. Re:I give them the benefit of doubt on Evangelion Live Action Movie · · Score: 1

I thought LOTR was possible. NGE, on the other hand, I don't see how they can avoid making it a big POS action movie. One of the things LOTR had going for it was that it is English, so it'll be easy to AmericaniZe.

Go dig up a obscure patent and sue their ass! Way to go MS. You're my hero.

  9. Re:What _is_ Akira about. on Blade Director to Adapt 'Akira' For Western Audiences · · Score: 1

What do you expect when you try to condense hundreds of pages of manga into 1 hour? Steven King can't even do that! He has like four episodes for one book. And Akira is probably more complex than anything SK has written.

  10. Re:Futurama IS a knockoff---No it isn't! on Concerning The Cancellation of Futurama · · Score: 1

Similar music, animation, style etc.. is only due to the fact that they're both Matt Groening creations! If you've read his other stuff, like Life from Hell, you see what I mean. Also, studio execs like ot save money, why wouldn't they recycle some of the simpsons resources.

When my friends and I first saw futurama, we all thought the same thing: Simpsons 3000 without a Homer. But the more I watch it, the more I realise it has a character and unique charm of its own.

They already do, it's called a green card. Now this is for permanent residents, I'm unsure about temporary immigrants (visas?).

I know a few people with connections to JPL and IIRC this project was planned for failure--delays, cheap material, constant "redesigns", etc. But the engineers who worked on it were very resourceful and somehow managed to get the thing up (think Macguyver and crazy workarounds). Now NASA is exploiting DS1.

Kudos to the engineers who fought the good fight.

  16. Portable != Handheld on PlayStation Portable · · Score: 1

As others have already mentioned this, but this is cool because it's HANDHELD. Sure the standard psOne is portable, but I don't know how convenient it is to carry around controllers, batteries, AC adapter, etc--not to mention the extensive wires. Which one would you choose? I know what I want.

Wild Tangent is already doing what Adobe and Macromedia are just now planning. The only difference is authoring it.

Whereas Wild Tangent must be programmed, Adobe and Macromedia's will probably be a cross between Lightwave and Flash.

People should checkout Wild Tangent. It let's you create retail quality games using javascript! How crazy is that?!
