The last design I examined back in 2015 used an inverting DC-DC converter. The converter would take power from the USB port to charge a capacitor bank up to -110VDC, and dumps it in the data pins, and repeats until there is no longer power to the bus. This is how it bypasses/destroys any TVS diodes.
I would love to have a version with a hidden switch to change between data storage and kill, that destroys the data along with the computer it is plugged in to.
Imagine the look on the thief's face when he plugs it in.
Or the TSA, since they seem to have a thing for rummaging through your shit. I bet you could even warn them and they would laugh it off and plug it in anyways.
Why, of all things, do we care about how thin a gaming console is? Or care about small differences in weight?
When was the last time you were thinking "This thing is great, but it could be so much better if I had an extra few inches of space all around it and was a little lighter!"?
So, you think he is a hero for betraying his country.
It isn't exactly betrayal when they cast the first stone.
Say we have a legally binding contract. Between you and over 300 million people. And you break said contract, regularly. How is it betraying you to let everybody else know that you have broken our contract and should not be trusted?
The massive prick is holed up in Russia. He really needs to get a sense of perspective.
He is "holed up in Russia" because the United States government decided to revoke his passport and trap him in the Moscow airport. It wasn't his intention to stay in Russia.
I'm always amazed when people are quick to demonize Snowden for breaking laws but defend what he exposed: Massive government corruption and disregard for the law.
So they hold Twitter responsible, but not Skype (Microsoft), Yahoo, AOL, or any of the other companies that offer IM-type or bulletin board type services where information can be passed? Hell - with a little planning, a Wikipedia article edit could be used as a communication channel, not to mention the talk portion where editing an article is discussed. Or even Slashdot - read at -1 and find your messages for the Kettle Run on the next anniversary.
I love the Nexus 5. I've literally thrown it at a rock before (Accidentally, if that makes sense) and concrete, no damage at all (Though I am using a rubber/plastic case).
The camera is a complete potato, but aside from that it still works perfectly. The camera is the only reason I would ever want to upgrade.
Thanks for being the only person to respond with a source, I had assumed it would be something about the semi-recent shootings that had BLM upset that involved the suspect pointing a gun at police.

Hah, I'm sure he just accidentally put his finger on the trigger and pulled it. Sureee.
Now this is the kind of thing that should be on the news everywhere and get people upset.
Like the other officer that accidentally shot somebody climbing out of a rolled over SUV in the neck and killed him. And then picked up the bullet casings.
make sure the team down there stays away from any perfectly spherical objects they might run across. That tends to lead to bad outcomes in underwater habitats.
You can remove a lot of the vertical space by moving the bookmarks in the customize menu to the right of the menu bar, if you have the menu bar enabled. I can't stand using firefox without doing this.
I've never had a problem with cpu usage, though it loves to eat 4+GB of ram. I have a feeling this is just shitty javascript on the websites I frequent, as I've had 100+ tabs open before without this happening.
I've been working on a few designs in Eagle. Until then, I tossed my stereo in the trash and got a small 1/2 DIN equalizer and plugged a cheap bluetooth dongle into the back (RCA plugs), run it into a small amp and out to the speakers. Works great.
The modern spaceship flashy bullshit looks too out of place, especially in a classic car.
Don't forget underage kids themselves being on the sex offender registry for taking pictures of themselves (Counts as producing child pornography, "They were exploiting themselves!")
Exactly what an A.I. would say, Mr. 110010001000. I'm watching you.

My 1970s shitbox must be safe, I've never seen any news stories about people dying in it!

I'd rather it be larger and have better cooling.
I would consider any fire on a jet to be a very serious situation
You don't bring your flamethrower with you when you travel!?
IT'S LIKE YOU WANT THE TERRORISTS TO WIN!

1. Reverse engineer """custom""" bluetooth chip
2. Make adapter
3. ???
4. Profit

Central African Republic of course!
Who doesn't want their very own African Republic?
But...you wouldn't download a CAR, would you?
I really can't wait for the autonomous vehicle rally races.
Sounds pretty boring to be honest. Then again I'm in the "BRING BACK GROUP B! QUATTRO NOW!" camp.

Why stop there? Sue ICANN.

shoving old men off ledges after screaming a false accusation of sexual assault (caught on live video)
This I have to see.
I *think* he was talking about this:

But it has happened a few times, so I could be wrong.

You've got me curious, what movie?
comment gets modded down into obscurity. ;-)
That didn't take long.
On Ublock origin at least, I can right click anywhere and select "Block element".
Seems to work perfectly for this kind of thing.
You can build quality stereos just fine, git gud
