If you don't mind breaking a few laws, you can hack a few machines and set them up as dummy proxies for anybody to use. There are a lot of unattended unix boxes in China (proof: see how many.cn boxes have insecure relays). Down side here is if someone looks at connection logs, anybody using from an isp can get into serious trouble.
If you happen to know someone in China and want them to get around the filters, you could set up a unix account for them. However, the danger here is I'm sure telnet connections are logged and authorities can get suspicious. Ssh I'm sure isn't well liked there since authorities hate encryption there more than in our own countries.
Inevitably, any such system that is created must be very low key and can easily be disguised as normal net traffic if you wish to keep authorities from becoming suspicious.
The psychic beaming signals to Korchnoi was not sitting in the front row but rather, was with the Soviet Army as they took his family hostage during that match.

Currently, there are three recognized chess world champions. Kramnik is the newest one. Karpov is also a world champion in that he was the FIDE champ but was never ousted. His claim is being tested in the courts currently though. Khalifman was the winner of the FIDE knockout tournament a year ago I believe which makes him a world champion. The next knockout tournament should be coming up soon.
Whether Deep Blue is a world champion only depends on if you think a computer can be or not. Considering it has been disassembled though, I think the computer has forfeited the title.;)
I am quite likely to believe they dropped sparc support due to low demand. However, that's not even half the story. If you own a sun4c(Sparc 1, 1+, IPC, IPX, 2) machine, you will be advised to not run redhat because in simple terms, it sucks. From what I've heard, it is very rough on memory and will only run for a few weeks before crashing. However, this is due to the hardware being different in the memory. These machines though are probably the most common machines that someone would want to run linux one. Instead, people will choose NetBSD or OpenBSD. If someone has a newer machine (sun4m, sun4u), they are more likely to run Solaris still those machines are still well supported. I have no idea about the straight sun4 machines and linux support on them.
You should vote for the Libertarian Party. The LP Presidental Candidate, Harry Browne, is on the ballot in 49 states and D.C. (not on in Arizona). The LP very much opposes government censorship. This is one of the main reasons I joined the LP.
This year it seems the commercials weren't that good as they normally are. Mostly got to see ads for ABC's sitcoms. On the other side, the game was actually worth watching. This leads me to:
The quality of the commercials during the Super Bowl is inversely proportional to the quality of the game being played.
The reality is that nobody really cares in what happens in the game. This is nothing more than a big publicity stunt for M$ and Kasparov (both of whom just want more money). If you talk on the chess servers, you'll see this is the case. For me and many others, I've never cared one bit about the match.
Kasparov is likely the top chess player right now, however he isn't world champion because he refuses to play under FIDE rules. He just needs the publicity to remind people who he is.
Sorry if this sounds like a troll. But this is really how it is.
There is an essay by Merrill Markoe called "Head Full of Bees" which is about how bad television is. Sounds like a lot of you will love reading it. No idea where to find it though (I had to read it for a class).
Actually what the state regents board voted was the de-emphasize evolution and let local school boards decide. However, realize this is not the view of most of the people in the state (including me). Next legislature session, a bill is going to be introduced to limit the powers of the state regents board on this issue. Apparently a lot of people are quite unhappy in this state about the decision. I think its a given next election cycle, there will be a few members of the state regents board who will be looking for a new job (of course they have their political connections so that won't be so tough for them unfortunately).
This is not the first post. Oh yeah!

Yeah, this isn't the first post!
Not First Post baby!
This is not the first post so you may ignore it.

Of course not!
This is not the first post so it doesn't matter.

Man, I would sure hate that. My parts are my parts and they shouldn't investigate them!
But I think we should all stand up and tell the BSA we don't want our private parts investigated!
I sure hope they don't find out I'm using a pirated copy of Red Hat.

But think, there goes the advantage of using Linux. Now if someone encounters a bug in windows, they can get the source now and fix it. :)
