You have to know the exact cause of gravity to negate it. Last time I checked they dont know what exactly adds to the weight of a single atom so I dont see how they can create antigravity.

Also you have to have good knowledge of the path involved. Imagine passing a asteroid 10m across at the speed of light. If your system cannot accomodate for the effects then most likely you'll be a smear inside the ship if the ship survives.

Best bet is to hope that there's a nth demension you can pop into that allows you to travel the same spatime line without worrying about the mass of objects in the path.

I dont see the two coming around anytime soon. It would be best to focus efforts on speedy travel between earth, mars, and the asteroid belt. Longer missions to the outer planets are fine but mars is our best bet for establishing a second colony of humans in case earth gets smeared by a large asteroid.

Americans have a right to search with warrant.. This should apply to your communications. Now if John Doe is calling Osama Bin Laden then there is ample reason to tap that communication.

The problem is that the government is searching call record databases to see if numbers are calling their list of known bad numbers. Which means they're looking at everyone's calls and not just a select few. Once they find numbers that are calling those known bad numbers they then start the wiretapping.

Now many people may know care that the government is looking through their call records seeing if you're calling the middle east or other places. If you dont make overseas calls then you're probably not being looked at, but it's possible they're still screening stateside calls to see if you're calling mosques or other suspected terrorist locations in the US.

Game publishers have retaliated against bad press buy not letting them test anything again. I even see this in Warcry nowdays when I stop by and cruise articles. They claim to still supposedly be one of the "Volunteer" websites.

I think bloggers will be the next big thing in game journalism. I have plans on writing reviews of the games I have bought and played on my blog. 1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Republicans are changing laws left and right when they inconvience them. They also are about to be in controll of the courts which would give them unlimited control of the government. Corporations are gaining a free hand over the country (Imminent Domain, credit, health care, retirement, etc...)

Less than 5% of the nations population control more than 80% of the wealth. You are given a number at or shortly after birth. This number controls your life. This number is the key to your identity. Corporations control how much purchasing power you have reguardless how much money you have. The laws favor them when you run out of money, the laws favor their collectors if you cannot pay to fight their illegal tactics then you end up paying or in credit jail for the rest of your life.

Religion is the new race in America. If you're not a Evegelangical Christian or whatever then you have no real power in the country. 2 federal elections have had hair thin margins in favor of the same party. Once again the courts sided with their majority party representation. (Gore won in the end after several recounts but nobody chagned anything)

There's no such things as right to protest freely anymore. You will protest in a out of the way place away from those in power or you will be arrested period.

2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Some of this is answered above. With all 3 branches of government nearly in control of the Republican party they are now expanding their power to the states. Texas was the first where they called a second redistricting during the 10 year period. Redistricting normally happens after the census.. This happened in 2000 and the republicans held a second redistricting and drew the boundaries putting democrats in office in heavily republican areas. The result is that 6 democrats lost their seats to republicans who would have had no chance under the normal district drawing of 2000.

They are now expanding this practice to Colorado and several other states to ensure more "Red" states.

Dont get locked into the testerostone of the Republican party. What are they doing for you? That big 14 dollar tax cut you got? Maybe you think it is.. However if you were a millionaire that tax break was hundreds of thousands of dollars. Did you get a nice fat raise from your richer boss? Probably not and he's paying up for his next big tax break. In the meantime you will soon be paying the AMT tax rate and that 14 dollar gain will turn into a several hundred dollar loss. That nice few hundred refund you get will be a thousand dollar bill.

You think 401k's are in your benefit.. ever see the market swing 100 points down then 100 points up the next day. Did your 401k gain anything from it? No it probably lost 25 cents a average share and only went up about 14 cents.. You may be lucky to grace the 7-8% margin to keep up with true inflation but 30 years down the road dont expect to be spending all those big bucks your company sold you on years ago. The rich use 401k's as their personal spending accounts since they have more rigid rules to follow than say hedge funds. 401k's can easily be drained of their funds.

True antigravity would require the ability to understand the exact forces that draw matter to other matter and then basically creating a reverse polarity to those forces. The problem here lies in the fact that if it turns out to be some portion of the makup of the atom then the only reverse of it would be it's anti unit. Combining those would be unwise.

The PS3 (Mistake IMO) chose not to have a xbox live type of service and let the game companies handle this type of stuff. Now this opens the doors to established MMO developers but actual game developers would not invest in the extras required to even setup a online version of the game. They in fact most likely just turn to Xbox Live and make their online version only available to the Xbox (Another thing that will hurt the PS3/PS2). Hell there's probably a provision in M$'s Live agreement that non xbox consoles cannot play across Xbox Live. I'm sure dev's have though about making a PS2/3 game just use Xbox Live but M$ will not allow it since they dont control the hardware.
