i can wholeheartedly referr you to this link and let you find out for yourself that you mixed up some interesting concepts and give us all a hard time discussing a triviality...
and btw., i really think, that you have way to much time on your hands.
If any ships can make it there without crashing their hulls on the tops of submerged skyscrapers!
yeah, because they are everywhere, these skyscraper-thingies... clogging up the chinese flatlands and blocking access to these giant rice-tree woods...
and some might say, that the only people complaining about people wearing sunglasses at night are people that have a lot of prejudices in other fields of live, too...
i tend to disagree. my observation is, that people of the kind that you describe leave the cinema with comments on how the action scenes were cool, but all the philosophy shit sucked.
the ones who start thinking about it, are the ones, that have a little background in philosophy or at least some hard sf... maybe someone who sucked up the NGE-series without yawning, or the enlightened gibson-fan...
Unlikely, say earthbound microbiologists. But some scientists from the United Kingdom aren't so sure.
this rumor is itself from outer space! as the article states it came from a far place called 'United Kingdom' (probably a planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse) and NOT fom an earthbound microbiologist.
if you can't explain the story plot correctly, encourage him to watch it for himself. but please don't make false statements about it. the series doesn't deserve this.
it's way to good and far from ordinary anime stuff...
I do think that console gaming will outlive PC gaming but that's another topic entirely. Rather, I was pointing out that the cost of an Xbox isn't a good argument to use against it since a gaming PC will ALWAYS (ALWAYS) cost more.
maybe in the long run, consoles will become more pc-like and pc gaming will become easier. that could mean that consoles will outlive pcs in gaming. ok.
but from todays point of view consoles will always be inferior to pcs because of one simple fact: you can not customize your console games as easy as on a pc.
if you take a look at the most successfull pc games you will notice that almost every one owes its success to an active community (counterstrike, freelancer, ut, et al.). you have the original game off the shelves, that's one thing. but you gather add-ons, mods, custom maps and a lot more things in the following years. there is free content to enhance your gaming experience, forged by nothing but dedication of the community. you do not have that in console gaming, where you have to rely on the mercy of game manufacturers...
it may cost more to do pc gaming, but you also get a lot more for your money.
damn acronyms...
if i remember correctly, you should use the full expression once before abbr. it...

your logic is seriously flawed, sorry. and your choice of examples is... hmmm... interesting.
that's not the point.
all-capital-words/sentences/posts are generally considered bad style by the majority of online people. really.
(and i was not the one getting personal, coward)
I will crush!

...isn't what you get out of writing in capitals. it just makes you look dumb. really.

for most of us, at least one of these isn't.
