I understand your point, but my first thought was that this wasn't a good thing. The name was spelled differently, and for me thats enough. I guess I had hoped that on a medium like the web, it was perfectly OK to go ahead and put up a slashdo.org and make it anti-slashdot...so much for the last bastion of (very) free-communication. The article mention an appeal is in motion by the original owner; I'm curious to see how this gets interpreted further up the chain.

It sounds like you are mentioning the listing of shares collected by the auto-browse thingie in XP. For a small home network, seeing "MP3's on (insert machine name here)" is nice, IMO. Especially when there are multiple shares with the same names on different machines (I love the home user...no really!). You actually only see the comments field if you use the "Details" view, and even then, those comments come after the share and machine name...Although I haven't used XP Home, so if its different in that version, well...you shoulda mentioned which version (;
When browsing the "Entire Network", machines are listed by machine name only, and if you find yourself browsing the Entire Network alot (or a specific domain) then you should just make a shortcut to that item and save the hassle of the multiple clickthroughs. But thats the same hassle that is in Win2k, not something new to XP.
Good question....where would a Ranger of Westernese get his hands on blades of Westernese manufacture...? oh...wait (:
Although explaining why he was carrying a bundle of them around might be difficult...I can see him bringing 2 extra's along because he knew he was to meet Frodo and Sam at the Pony, and he knew what kind of enemy they may face, but having 2 more for Merry and Pippin was a stroke of luck.
The thing that comes to my mind here are games that are on both consoles...the one I've played with most recently is Splinter Cell. Its out for both the XBox and PS2, and the PS2 version looks pretty poor when you compare screenshots side by side.
Although I couldn't find exact matches for screenshots, you can tell there is a big difference between the graphics these two consoles can put out.
Or you can just goto gamespot and check both versions and compare shots. I'm sure the game is still fun on the PS2 (because it's not grahpics that make the game good, hopefully (: ), but I hope this answers a little bit of your question about "which games are these?" (:
I don't have a console at all, I like the PC version of Splinter Cell myself (;

well, from what i've read, its not that the terrorists figure out a way around it, its that they hire some disgruntled scientist to figure out a way around whatever issue is troubling them at the moment. Documentation seems to show that having a large bankroll has lead to the same problem-solving solution many large corporations have stumbled into; throw money at it.
however, my research shows that we are lucky, in that the terrorist's ego will cause him to eliminate the scientist before everything is fully complete, meaning that said mass-destruction device won't work as well as it should. Or we'll put together some intelligence puzzle right at the last moment and nab em before they even get off the plane...so just relax (:
Holy cow, yeah, System Shock 2 was a nightmare...I was working late day shifts, so I was getting home around midnite...then sat up all night playing games.
Around 3am, I had to call a friend so he was on the phone when I looked up from the monitor, because I was sure there was going to be something in the room with me when I did. He laughed at me, so I let him borrow the game...he couldn't get far for the same reasons (:
Never thought the chattering of a monkey would cause so much anxiety. Shodan is definately the most evil of all computer game villains (:

You know, I started thinking more about this...
Weren't they trying to keep drunks and people who would harass stewardesses off of the planes anyway?
