    I have an Echo and you have to be specific in what you say. The skill developer codes it into the skill. You can't just say Alexa vacuum. you have to specify the brand of vacuum you have just like irobot or whoever coded it.

    same with all their other thousand skills. it's kind of annoying for anything past the simple stuff like play music or get the news/weather. you have to remember what to say

    smaller planes are able to fly longer ranges. in the 90's I couldn't fly Atlanta to Seattle without a stop over. Now a 727 can fly coast to coast

    Not even the 787. Soon the 727 or 737 along with the baby airbus planes will have long range engines capable of long distance flight. Used to be you needed a 747 to go from NYC to Rome or London. Now it's your average tiny plane with hourly or several flights a day which can be rescheduled if not enough tickets are sold.

    People want to destroy their bodies then run to the doctor looking for magic. Then they complain it costs money and doesn't fix the root issue and sue the doctors if they don't like the results

    it's the same thing as ticket scalpers with concert tickets. selling to wholesalers you get paid right away and transfer inventory risk to someone else

    Same with buying tickets directly from the airlines. I'll use Kayak as a guide and then buy the ticket straight from southwest or delta. I always get a better fare class and a lot of times i'll get a better seat on delta for the same price.

    accepting cash isn't free. Employees steal. You have to do the paperwork to keep track of it and account for all the receipts. Unless you run to the bank daily, you have to pay an armored car to pick it up and deposit it for you.

    They have too many but the ViVo series is pretty good. I bought my wife one for $250 and have used it a bunch of times to help her cheat on a contest at work.

    They also have stuff in the $600 range with more professional features

It was out of stock for months and I finally bought it for them in march or april. they played with it for a few minutes and got bored. the whole time i said it was sold out and they understood

    but smaller companies can't do this, which is what NN is all about. Netflix got special treatment

    and it wasn't the ISP's as much as L3 and Cogent changing routing tables after taking on Netflix as a customer

    How exactly does that work out? Netflic currently peers directly with Comcast and pays them some low price for transit. Before that they bought bandwidth directly from Level 3 and Cogent who tried to route that traffic onto peering connections against their agreements with ISP's

    a lot of towers are owned by third party companies and lease capacity to all carriers. some of these companies are public companies themselves

    They were crappy clickbait sites, although I did visit gothamist daily for entertainment

    Most of the "stories" were summaries and links to original stories from real news organizations

    the click bait summaries were usually the police is bad, it's always the driver's fault for hitting someone, etc.
