  4. I misread the title and thought it said, "T-Mobile to Increase Deportation Threshold to 50B This Week" and wondered how on earth T-Mobile got to determine how many illegal immigrants or their children the country deported. That was really weird, until I read more closely.

    NASA was taxpayer-funded. The tax payers would have not tolerated videos of the sort. However, the general public likes the self-deprecation of showing failures (without the loss of human life) with a plan to grow beyond them and not give up.

    This. Windows 10 is what brought about my Year of Linux on the Desktop (2015). I still maintain a Windows 7 machine for gaming but that will change someday.

    The first thing I do in ubuntu is test /bin/sh to see if it's a symlink to .*dash, then I replace it with a symlink to /bin/bash.

    The reason for this number, is because if you have 2 vertical lines, and 2 horizontal lines, in the Window (TM), you will have 9 separate panels. Just imagine the UI possibilities with nine (9) Window (TM) panels! Each panel could have slightly different UIs to suit each and every customer use case, and all at the same time!

    So the usual marketing blabla of "improving your experience". When, for crying out loud, is a company going to admit that they were wrong and going to reverse course??! Just for once, please. Just say "Oops, sorry. We hear you; here's the previous version." Now that would be really listening to your customers.

    Stop focusing on the aspects that are designed to target menial users who wouldn't know why they're supposed to chose linux in the first place

  23. I have indeed slowed down my distro hopping. I just run applications nowadays. I prefer dnf but can get by with apt-get. I am about to try TrueOS just to try Lumina, however.
